When I consider the prompt for today "too much pressure", I'm reminded of the secrets people hold for numerous reasons. Shame. Guilt. Hubris. Anxiety. Power. Control. And, anger. Most often these secrets are private torments. Others are a source of joy and excitement at knowing that you have information that others may desire or desperately need. No matter the reason, the knowledge can become too heavy a burden to sustain.
I share a microfiction for the prompt that is in the form of a ZAPFIC50 story told in exactly 50 words. The challenge was created by @felt.buzz.

Below is my story.
The mirror watched with dismay as Maxwell rose from the floor slowly and stood razor straight. Turning, his hands trembled while repeatedly stammering the words Madelyn desperately wanted to hear this past four years.
The door slammed. Downstairs, overwhelmed with loathing for the surreptitious life, he sobbed.
"Tomorrow," he promised.

Cuando pienso en el tema de hoy, «demasiada presión», me acuerdo de los secretos que la gente guarda por muchas razones. Vergüenza. Culpa. Arrogancia. Ansiedad. Poder. Control. Y la ira. La mayoría de las veces, estos secretos son tormentos privados. Otros son una fuente de alegría y excitación al saber que tienes información que otros pueden desear o necesitar desesperadamente. Sea cual sea el motivo, el conocimiento puede convertirse en una carga demasiado pesada.

El espejo observó con consternación cómo Maxwell se levantaba lentamente del suelo y se erguía como una cuchilla. Al girarse, sus manos temblaban mientras balbuceaba repetidamente las palabras que Madelyn había deseado oír desesperadamente durante los últimos cuatro años.
La puerta se cerró de golpe. Abajo, abrumado por la aversión a la vida subrepticia, sollozó.
«Mañana», prometió.
