Today I want to share with you a very special event that took place in my city of Pop Art.
I was visiting the spaces of a well known place in the city to propose a musical project and by chance the owner of the place was looking for musicians to play in a pop event. At that moment I saw the opportunity and took it without thinking twice.
The long awaited day of the event arrived where my musical partner Hernán and I prepared a repertoire with iconic pop rock songs.
The repertoire chosen by us for this art show is part of the pop rock iconography of our time. Our opening theme is the famous song Hotel California on the violin, then we continue with the romantic tune of Adele Love Song, a classic of The Beatles Let it be merges into a medley with John Lennon's hymn imagine and finally we close with a cover of one of the Hispanic pop rock legends Soda Estereo, Música Ligera.
At the end of our little recital, the well-known young artist Ronald Ruiz began with his class inspired by pop icons. This time his muse was Marilyn Monroe. Between canvases and acrylics, we, the attendees, enjoyed creating step by step this beautiful Hollywood legend.
The class was very explanatory and dynamic. Ronald is a 22 year old artist who has opened a new artistic path in the city, since previously the city did not have as many spaces or projection of artists as he currently lives. His technique is impeccable and in a fresh and expressive way he was guiding us stroke by stroke for the elaboration of our Marilyn.
The painting in question breaks the canons of perfection and extreme realism, in a style of realistic expressionism in which he played with brushstrokes and colors to create the artistic piece.

Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un evento muy especial que se hizo en mi ciudad de Arte Pop.
Estaba visitando los espacios de un conocido lugar en la ciudad para proponer un proyecto musical y por casualidad la dueña del lugar estaba buscando músicos para tocar en un evento pop. En ese momento vi la oportunidad y la tomé sin pensarlo dos veces.
Llegó el día tan esperado del evento donde mi compañero musical Hernán y yo preparamos un repertorio con canciones icónicas del pop rock.
El repertorio escogido por nosotros para esta muestra de arte forma parte de la iconografía pop rock de nuestro tiempo. Nuestro tema de apertura es la famosa canción Hotel California en el violín, luego seguimos con la romántica tonada de Adele Love Song, un clásico de Los Beatles Let it be se funde en un popurrí con el himno imagine de John Lennon y para finalizar cerramos con el cover de una de la leyenda de pop rock hispano Soda Estereo, Música Ligera.

Al finalizar nuestro pequeño recital, el conocido joven artista plástico Ronald Ruiz comenzó con su clase inspirada en los iconos del pop. Esta vez su musa fue Marilyn Monroe. Entre lienzos y acrílicos los asistentes nos deleitamos creando paso a paso esta hermosa leyenda Hollywoodense.
La clase estuvo muy explicativa y dinámica. Ronald es un artista de 22 años que ha abierto un nuevo camino artístico en la ciudad, ya que anteriormente la ciudad no contaba con tantos espacios o proyección de artistas como las que él vive actualmente. Su técnica es impecable y de forma fresca y expresiva nos iba guiando trazo a trazo para la elaboración de nuestra Marilyn.
El cuadro en cuestión rompe los cánones de la perfección y el realismo extremo, en un estilo de expresionismo realista en el cual se jugaba entre pinceladas y colores para crear la pieza artística.
