Splinterlands Fan Art: Brighton Bloom. Weekly Art Contest - 296.

in #hive-1586944 months ago

Hello Everyone

How are you?

I hope you're doing well and leading a sound life. I will bring you another one of my artwork today. This one is also a digital drawing fan art of a monster of Splinterlands. I drew this one to participate in the weekly art contest arranged by @splinterlands. I'll add the link to the contest at the end. Check it out if you feel interested. In this post, I'll share my drawing process, my tools and how I drew a fan art version of the original card quite different from the original. I hope you like my version.

The monster I drew today is named Brighton Bloom. I used my laptop, graphics tablet, stylus drawing touch pen, and a drawing software named ibis Paint. I'll attach my drawing and the original image below and you can check it out. I'll also add the link to the contest at the end of my post. So, let's get started:-

My Drawing

I began the drawing by sketching the structure of her body first. I first completed the basic part and then added the lines to draw her dress and the details such as curves and folds in it. I used the 2B pencil tool. I also drew her hips, nose, eyes and her hair in the end too.

Then, in this step, I began the colouring process. I started it by adding the primary colour to her skin and then adding the other details one by one. I followed a different method for colouring this time and I hope you're going to like it.

You can see that rather than using a usual colouring method, I used the 3D shading process in this one and I think it looks good on this type of character design.

In this step, I completed the colour processing of her dress. I first put the primary colours and then used lighter colours and shades to draw the curves and shading.

And, to make this part more realistic, I used some white strokes on the lower part of her dress mainly on top of the folds. I used the spray brush to draw those strokes.

And here in this step, I did the colouring process of her hair. It was basic. I first put the primary colour and then drew some thin lines using the pen tool and then used the spray brush tool to put the white strokes so that I could create the glossy effect.

Then I focused on the decorating part of the drawing. As you can see I added flowers on her head and a bird on her side too.

Final Image

***In this part I drew this basic background. I didn't want to make it too complicated and as basic as possible like the main drawing. Hope you like it.

I liked how you did the hair, it has a very cool design, especially the color of the clothes, they are very striking and the depths look great.

Thanks a lot for your generous words dear.
