After completing the Cosmic Creations No. 8 Contest theme "Inspired by Nature," I wanted to share with you another mixed media art project related to the theme.
In my "Inspired By Nature" Theme No. 5, I wanted to portray, in an abstract manner, a general outlook for our world, especially as it concerns our relationship with the chaos and havoc being thrust upon our environment, which in turn affects humanity.
No matter our personal triumphs, failures, and dispositions, with each new dawn, a new day arises that brings opportunities to do good in the world. This new opportunity also brings about a chance to cast off evil and wrongdoing.
Yesterday has passed. We can't change it, no matter how cloudy a past we were dealt. Learn from our misgivings, our mistakes, our missed chances. Treat everyone with respect and glad tidings.
Lately, I have been feeling as though time in the world is speeding up. It's moving forward at a more rapid pace as though we are hurtling toward an eerie destiny that we have caused to come to pass.
Remember, we reap what we sow. The dawn also comes no matter our part in it.
To complete the Inspired By Nature No. 5, I relied heavily on my beautiful pure fractals I created in the advanced fractal rendering software, Apophysis 7X. I'm thoroughly proud of my pure fractals, especially with how they blend well with other types of art.
Next, I incorporated the image I created with the generative art program, Nvidia Gaugan. This awesome sunset background turned out better than expected with this program.
Other free-sourced images I included in my project helped to bring all the elements into focus, especially the skull that represents the past. The white mask represents looking toward the future.
Using Canva, I uploaded all to blend the mixed art. The various images all look different in sizes shapes and colors. I hope they blend well into a recognizable scene that is not too busy. The generative art landscape image was so beautiful that I didn't want to completely cover it with the other images to the fiery sunset would shine through.
Below are my procedures:
To a blank, white canvas, I added my generative art landscape image.
Resized landscape image to fill canvas as my background.
Added 6 fractal images.
Removed backgrounds, duplicated rock fractal, and repositioned all fractals in sky and on ground.
Added large purple fractal.
Removed background of large purple fractal. Resized and repositioned.
Added skeleton, eye, necklace, and white face mark images. Removed backgrounds.
Added tentacles.
Removed tentacles background and repositioned it under the skeleton.
Below is my completed project:
Thanks for taking the time to view my post. I hope you like my mixed media art project for Cosmic Creations - Inspired By Nature No. 5.
