Hello everyone and welcome back to my digital art projects. I feel this is my best digital art fractal project yet. So today, I'm dedicating this fractal art project to the Alien Art Hive Community. I have a passion for creating digital images. Then, I discovered fractals. The designs in my themes have always confused others who usually give the perfunctory "it's nice...but what exactly is it? puzzled look. Also, my fiction and poems inevitably steered toward the sci-fi genre. I call it "the dark side". I felt I didn't have a home for my digital creations and accompanying stories.
Once I discovered the Alien Art Hive Community, I knew I'd found a home for my works. Since joining, the staff and members in this community welcomed me and my dark side. They understand my works and accept me wholeheartedly.
So today, I have a special holiday treat for all the members of the Community. I'd like to present you this ornament to say "Thanks" for your kindness and inclusiveness into the Alien Art Hive Community. The flower in the ornament is Julian fractal I designed with Apophysis 7x.
My second treat is for our Community during this holiday season. In the U.S., we have huge celebrations during the Fall Season. The season begins September 22nd and ends on December 31st.
During this time, we have a change that brings with it festive colors that change the landscape. We also celebrate the Fall holidays. The most important one to me is Christmas. That's when we celebrate the birth of Christ. The holidays include Thanksgiving, and we're in a festive mood. You may find cities and towns all over the U.S. decorated with beautiful fir and pine trees. Then we decorate our homes.
CHRISTMAS TREE
In my home, we typically have a tree. Some years, we have a live tree. The fir and pine bring a wonderful aroma to your home. When the children were small, they would help decorate it with their favorite ornaments.
For my second gift to the Community, I'd like to present my fractal digital art Christmas tree.
All the elements of the tree are fractals. For the ornaments, they consist of small fractal circles and other objects. I think they blend nicely with the tree. In the background is a fractal design that definitely looks like a curtain panel. I knew immediately that I'd utilized it as a drapery for the appearance of living room backdrop. Just as in offline life, my Christmas tree is leaning.
FIREPLACE
Around the fireplace is where all the action takes place. We love to gather and toast marshmallows, sing, and exchange gifts. We have a tradition where, the day before Christmas, that night on Christmas Eve, we exchange a gift from our Secret Santa. You see, we pull names during Thanksgiving.
Some years, it's cold enough in our part of the U.S. during winter to warrant a fireplace. I'm hoping we get a chance to utilize it this year.
I had a pleasant experience designing the fireplace project from the fractals. Separate, some fractals don't appear of any important until you combine them with other designs. Together, they make an awesome, sometimes hauntingly beautiful design. I'm proud of my fireplace. I can see me and my family sitting in front of it just talking, laughing, remembering past holidays, and finally, celebrating loved ones we've lost during the past year.
CHRISTMAS WREATH
A home is not complete without a wreath. It's usually placed on the outside of the front door. However, we like to add a second one and place it over the hall entrance with a welcome decor element.
This fractal totally surprised me during its design. I was attempting to follow a tutorial for a simple Julia fractal flower when I went off script. I rotated the triangles counter-clockwise; then added another element I knew would blow out the triangle circle variation.
HOLIDAY FOOD
What better way to enjoy the holidays but with the special food served this time of the season. Holiday food is what we call it. The aromas that fill the home from cooking these dishes give one a feeling of comfort and togetherness. Meats, veggies, side dishes, desserts, and drinks round out the eating table.
Let's not forget the fruit baskets filled with assortments of fresh fruit, nuts, and candies. For my fractal fruit basket, I designed a wire container in the shape of an open basket. It was perfect to place my fractal drawings in. I couldn't believe I designed an image that looks like bananas.
I've been working on this project for a week. From inception, it feels as though every element of my fractal designs came together effortlessly to create this gift for the Community. I hope you enjoy.
I thoroughly enjoy being a part of the Alien Art Hive Community. I look forward to another year of publishing here.
Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to view my various fractals for this project.
Tokenized art
I uploaded my fractals to the NFT Showroom. They are for sale there in tokenized form in my collection.
Size: 3000 x 2400:
The original fractal on NFT Showroom: "Alien Art Hive Christmas Tree"
The original fractal on NFT Showroom: "Alien Art Hive Fireplace"
I'll tokenize the remaining fractals soon.
I previously provided directions on how to create fractal drawings. To see complete instructions on maneuvering and manipulating the triangles, see my how-to post here.
Thanks for taking the time to view my post. If you'd like to try any of the programs I mention here, just let me know below, and I'll help if you require any.
