An abstract excursion into the black of the night. It is an adventure into the mind of Selma. Not that she wanted her life to take a left turn into the depths of the abyss. And not that it happened overnight A slow process embarking on erratic ventures into unchartered territory.
That she was warned by many was widely know.
That she cared not what others thought was legendary.
All held their collective breaths waiting for news they knew one day would come.
Some people unluckily gravitate toward the darker side of existence.
Whether they pray that all will be well is unknown.
Not one of them emerged from behind the blue bars to share their stories.
For my current project, while working with elements, I discovered the magic and ease of frames. With a frame, you can insert an image. The frame is just the holder for the image. They are separate images. If you decide you don't like the shape of the frame or the image inside, you can delete either one.
One image in particular I included was a personal image of a rug I own. I thought it made a great image to run through the filtering process several times. The program I used for the filter was Deep Dream Generator. I ran it through several processes. i liked the visual elements in the one I chose to pair with a separation frame.
Other images I included in my project were pure fractals I created in Apophysis 7X, the advanced fractal rendering program. These two fractals resembled locks that one would place around bars to secure them.
Also, open sourced images blended well with my theme. The female with the blue eyes behind black strings already resembled something behind a wall perhaps looking out. The image intrigued me, so I decided to see how well it would blend with my abstract bars. The skulls represent a significant and unpleasant event happened to the female. However, it was the frames that transformed the images into an abstract world.

I then utilized Canva to blend the different type images. I leave with you my procedures which begin with a blank, white canvas. I then add layers of elements in accordance with my upgraded Annual Pro Membership that includes tools to remove backgrounds, resize, filter, duplicate, and reposition items as required. Perhaps of all the tools, the ability to remove backgrounds thereby creating transparencies of the images is crucial to the blending process.
I wanted to share with you my completed project:
Thanks for taking the time to view my post. I hope you like my mixed media art project.
