Sharing my current mixed media art project titled "Chaos Abound" is a pleasure as I enjoyed the dark theme. Simply put, "chaos" is randomness that causes utter confusion in an otherwise organized state of being.
There's an actual theory that equates to chaos. It's the Chaos Theory. This supposition states that in mechanics and mathematics, apparent random or unpredictable behavior can occur in systems governed by deterministic laws. 1
what that definition means for humans and the operations that occur in everyday life is that a small event can occur that causes instability, uncertainty, or unpredictability. This seemingly small occurrence can have a tremendous impact on a person's mental or physical capabilities and cause behavioral changes.
Order turns into disorder. Organization turns into disorganization.
It's commonly known that some individuals thrive in chaos in their daily lives. Individuals who create chaos are known as instigators or agitators. They are also called stressors. These embrace chaos so that they can feel more alive and in tune with life.
However, I feel that this attitude ultimately originates from the desire to control or be in control of any given situation. That way, the circumstances prevent others from operating in an even keel so they can maintain their balance.
In designing my mixed media art project, I first relied upon a pure fractal I created in Apophysis 7X, the advanced fractal rendering software. On first glance, the fractal looks like chaos or complete randomness when rendered on a transparent background. However, when I switched the background to gray and rotated it 90 deg., the details shone through.
I normally switch the background to black so that the details are vivid. However, gray seemed to work well as I didn't want the facial feature to be too dark.
I titled my fractal "Circle Frame for Aliens". How appropriate for my project with the randomness of the fractal iterations as they send their loops and lines into infinity. In fact, fractals are considered an example of the Chaos Theory.
Only a few other images were included that completed my project. Since my fractal would serve as the background with a chaotic effect, I didn't want the foreground to be cluttered. I used a white mask to blend into the fractal and serve as the facial feature. A huge red eye symbolized that the person recognized chaos.

I then utilized Canva to blend the different type images. I leave with you my procedures which begin with a blank, white canvas. I then add layers of elements in accordance with my upgraded Annual Pro Membership that includes tools to remove backgrounds, resize, filter, duplicate, and reposition items as required. Perhaps of all the tools, the ability to remove backgrounds thereby creating transparencies of the images is crucial to the blending process.
I share with you my completed project:
