Angel of Orange | A Mixed Media Art Project

Today, our weather is warming a bit after the chill earlier in the week. Reviewing my collection of pure fractals, I came across one that at first didn't reveal itself until I viewed it on a black background. Awesome burnt orange color and design, so I thought I'd share it with a combination of other mixed art.

I haven't a story to share; only the finished project, so below are my procedures.

For this mixed media art project, I began with my pure fractal simply titled "Pieces". I wanted the theme to be light and airy with such a dark orange background from the fractal. What better addition than a white fairy.

The angel and girl's face lent the ethereal quality I was hoping to achieve.

Skeptical at first of the outcome, I forged ahead and uploaded the three images I felt were sufficient to create the theme to Canva, my design. I didn't want to overcrowd the scene.

I share with you my procedures:

To a blank, white canvas, I added my pure fractal.

Switched canvas background to black. Resized fractal to fit screen, then duplicated it to fill the entire canvas.

Added the angel.

Removed angel's background; resized and repositioned it in center of canvas.

Added girl.

Repositioned girl; adding filtering to blend in with fractal. Completed project.
