Hello My family,
As an artist, I understand the ups and downs of expressing my imagination on a digital canvas. Recently, I took on the exciting task of creating a plague doctor mask for my D&D character using the Cintiq 16 inch. However, I encountered unexpected difficulties when the mask's color mysteriously changed from black to gray during the game. In this blog post, I'll share my journey of mastering digital art with Cintiq and how I overcame the mask dilemma, resulting in a stunning illustration.
Designing the plague doctor mask proved to be both exciting and challenging. The intricate details of the long beak and haunting eyes demanded precision and a steady hand on the Cintiq.
During one of our D&D game sessions, the character's black mask unexpectedly turned gray. Though it didn't impact the gameplay, it presented a unique artistic challenge. Rather than letting it dampen my spirits, I decided to turn this unexpected twist into an opportunity for creativity.
I have learned that adaptation is crucial when faced with unexpected changes. Instead of being discouraged, I approached the situation with flexibility and adaptability. I brainstormed ways to incorporate the gray mask into the character's narrative, adding a mysterious touch to my artwork.
To overcome the challenge of mastering mask creation, I delved deeper into Photoshop's tools and techniques. I experimented with layer masks, blending modes, and color adjustments to achieve the desired effect. This process allowed me to refine the gray mask and create a visually stunning final result. :D
Through dedication and creativity, I successfully transformed the initially black plague doctor mask into a captivating gray one. The final artwork beautifully captured the character's essence, evoking a sense of mystery and intrigue.
Thank You
