An Unforgettable Visit and Walk at the Historical Sites in Tagbilaran City, Bohol: The Blood Compact Shrine and Friendship Park
Happy Wednesday Hivers!
One of the historic events in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, is the Blood Compact. The Blood Compact was a traditional ritual among indigenous Filipinos, a way of forging alliances and friendships. It occurred in March 1565 between the Spanish explorer Miguel Lopez de Legazpi and a local chieftain, Datu Sikatuna.
In this ceremony, a few drops of blood from each participant were mixed with wine or other liquids and then drunk to symbolize their newfound friendship and mutual trust.

"El Zorab" Horse Festival (8-10 September 2023)
With a community freshly created, and yet a place that makes us feel safe we are posting in the right community this kind of posts, it was about time to write my first festival experience for the community since I've wasted enough occasions trying to promote festivals held in town but which failed terribly not being able to reach the right audience.
So while I have plenty of folders with images taken from various festivals attended both this year and in 2022, I thought that would be nice to begin my contribution here with the newest one, which was in the past weekend when I attended the "El Zorab" Horse Festival.

Upcycling Tutorial ~ how to make fabric string
Anyone who sews or recycles clothing surely has a bit pile of scraps waiting for some future project. Personally, I have two baskets of such fabric and much of the continents are thin scraps that are hard to up-cycle into anything useful.
Luckily, there is a fun and easy way to recycle such left over materials by transforming them into fabric string, also called twine. But, in order for the string to be resistant and not immediately fall apart, two strands must be twisted against each other, much like DNA!

Into the Wild: Exploring Cebu Safari’s Exotic Animal Haven - Part 1
August has been the busiest and fastest month so far, slipping away like a moment in time. ybanezkim26 invited me to join him on his birthday celebration with the kids at Cebu Safari and Adventure Park in Carmen, Cebu. I’m sure you’ve read his posts about this if you follow him. It was a generous gesture on his part, and I knew it would be a fulfilling experience, so I gladly accepted. As a kid at heart, I low-key wanted to go to the safari myself, as I've never been. 😅

Honestly Healing
Had a fun little adventure around a week ago. :)
I funnily enough posted a status update about finding adventure before I left and I did not plan to go where I ended up which ended up being a really interesting "adventure".I'm not ready to go into details too much, but the spot I was looking around I believe there is some kind of conspiracy or cover up going on there in that area... I think something important was literally "covered up" there and I wanna get to the bottom of it so to speak.
