My watercolours are small and would need framing to be exhibited, so I started to reimagine and repaint them in acrylic on canvas.
They're not exactly like watercolours, but you can't expect them to be, so I don't cling to an older pattern.
Step-by-step
I drew the owl on a piece of cotton canvas and cut out the outline, then glued it to the previously background-painted canvas.
I sketched the main lines of the feathers with watercolour markers in a variety of colours.
I started to fill it with acrylic colours. I painted stylized branches and leaves on the background.
