I love the vivid colors of aniline! I've just painted a Siamese fighting fish, which one is very special, multicolored.
I have never had an aquarium, but I always admire these little habitats when I visit one of my aquarist friends. It is said that this fish is as small as it is aggressive. At least that is true for males. Yet it is such a beautiful creature.
Let's see the painting process!
First, i sketched the fish with some details.
I painted the yellow base color on the flippers.
I gave it some shadow.
I used dark turquoise at the base of the fish's tail and some color stains on the body.
Some turquoise, green and blue for the background and almost finished.
The outline of the fish and the edges of the scales were drawn with a black pen.
