When I was 13 years old, I was the first to read Johann Goethe's short ballad "Erlkönig" (Erl-King). Then she made an incredible mystical impression on me and remained one of her favorite works to this day.
The ballad describes the death of a child at the hands of a supernatural creature, the spirit - the "Erlkönig" (it is not known whether his spirit killed him, or the child was simply sick and delusional).
My Character Drawing
The poet describes a father and son jumping on a horse through the forest in bad weather at times. It seems to his son that he is attracted to himself by the forest king; His father explains to him that it is all wrong for him. In the end, the son screams that the forest king caught up with him. When they finally arrive home, the father discovers that the child is dead.
For a long time I dreamed of drawing an illustration for such a plot and, it seems, I succeeded!
I still believe in good, so in my version of history, this boy fell into the good hands of a good old man, even if not in this world, not in this reality.
