I do not know what I'd do without breakfast. I have been in habit of eating well the first meal of the day. I shared it earlier and again repeating, that my Dad as well my Grandfather alwsys insisted to have proper breakfast. As we never know the how the days unfolds. Eating a healthy brekfast is alwsys importsnt. But being an Indian, I grown up with many option but lately I have restricted myself to healthy diet and tried to include as much as nutrient as possible. After working out, and taking shower, this is what I like to have in Breakfast.
The starry milky bowl of cereals contains many things. To prepare this , I needed a blender / mixer, but as I am living in a rental accommodation I do not have all the tool to make the bowl smoother. But still I tried to blend them to perfection manually. The bowl has many things and preparation begins late at night. I put some Almonds and Raisins to soak in water.
Eating soaked almonds and raisins on an empty stomach can have many health benefits. From energetic feeling throughout the day, to digestion to skin and hair control to reducing cholesterol and blood pressure to improve brain health and memory. I alwsys make sure to have few in my breakfast. But before that I like to start my day with few Dates.
I would love to include it in my delicious bowl of cereals, but it is not easier to blend these dates. So I have them raw pretty first things in an empty stomach. It is good in reducing weight and energy booster alongwith other health benefits. Rather making it a typical recipe food post to list out tye ingredients, I am putting everything in details with each addition. The first item add on the howl, includes Sattu (roasted grams powder) and Jaggery
I have churned tye jaggery and kept in a box which helps it to dilute early. Sattu is derived from roasted grams, so it is rish source of protein. Sattu is very popular in my area. Referred as food for poor. I made use of 2 spoon of Sattu and equivalent amount of Jaggery. Next to add in the how is a ripe Banana. A banana is enough for a bowl.
I mashed it separately and put it into bowl. Bananas are an important fruit because they contain many nutrients that can help with a variety of health concerns. The next item to go in the bowl are the soaked Almonds and Raisins.
I chopped the Almonds into small pieces. As I said earlier, I do not have the option to blend, so I cut them as small as possible. I think I have added enough items. Now it's time to blend them and mix properly. I added little water, to smoothen the mixing process. I need to blend properly to ensure everything mixes properly. This is where a blender is alwsys useful.
With the spoon I made a thick barter, but still it not ready to eat. I have to add few more item, and the next things that will go into this batter is Flattened rice
Flattened rice is again very common food item in my area. It has too multiple health benefits. Rich source of iron and fiber, it is derived from paddy's. It is also know as poha. I used to add this, when I get too hungry. Else it used to optional. But most of time it is added into the bowl. The next item is a glass full of Milk. That goes directly into the bowl.
Milk is alwsys important and so does in my bowl of breakfast. Milk has alwsys been considered as a complete diet. It can be added cold or warm. The choice is upon the person, how they like to eat their bow. In my case, I like cold today morning. But adding Milk, doesn't male my breakfast complete. We need to mix the blnded material perfectly into the milk, so that the taste and Ingredient get diluted perfectly.
Once everything mixed properly, it becomes a kind of smoothy beverages. It appears brownish, thans to Jaggery, that provides sweetness too. Adding chocos is optional too. But I like to crunch and munch so added few on top of the my breakfast bowl.
The breakfast is ready for a perfect begining. I hope all the nutrients were added into it and makes a perfect bowl for the empty stomach. It has everything and keep me going for hours.
