It's a beautiful Sunday and the beginning of a new week.
Hello my amiable learner's community, trust we are doing great today. I am glad to participate once again in this creative Sunday initiative. It's been good learning from members' creative ideas. So today, I will be showing you how I made a paper flower🌸 using a plastic bottle as a vase🏺 🤩🥳.
Vases are mostly made of glass or pottery for holding artificial flowers. Other types are porcelain vases though they are fragile but will give your home a great look👌
Vases and flowers 🌺 will make your home look more welcoming and beautiful. Flowers are nature and nature makes us feel good and it has a way of brightening our mood 🥰😇
Basically, flowers are for ornamental purposes. One can actually make a flower vase 🏺 out of paper but in my own case, I used the plastic bottle as my vase while I made a paper flower 🌸
Now let's get to the main work, shall we?.....
MATERIALS USED
- Cardboard papers of different colors
- A scissors
- A glue
- A plastic bottle
Step one: Get one of your cardboard papers and cut it into half. Then use only one of the halves, fold it into two equal shapes and cut it as shown below 👇
Step two: Apply glue on the end part of the cardboard paper; the part to which the cut did not extend. Get, your plastic bottle and wrap it. The glue should be able to hold it firm.
Step three: Now that you have gotten your stand, use your hand to spread the cardboard paper, making ways to where you designed flowers 🌸 will be attached. For the flowers, there are different shapes I made, you can decide on which shape you want but to get a star shape, follow these steps....
Cut small-sized cardboard like this one below
Fold it into half, then fold it again from the end edge forming a v-shape as seen below.
Next is folding from the edge parallel to your left hand to overlap the first folding. At this stage, it will form a triangle 🔼, then fold it into two to form a right angle.
If you take a look at this picture above, you will notice that my right-angled cardboard paper is open, now close it firm, and you will discover that one of the ends is well-pointed while the other end is a bit wider. Gently cut out the little excess or the base of the wider part to look like this shape below using scissors to cut the tips
Open all the foldings and get a star shape of your flower like this👇
You can make as many stars as you want using the same method. Here I made different shapes of flowers
Using glue, I started attaching my flowers to the formed vase.
At this stage, I exhausted my flowers, and here is my paper flower vase gazing at me😇
