Hello everyone!
How's your Sunday going?
I write about how much I love to watch videos on YouTube and learn new recipes. And like most persons, I like sharwama so I decided to make it using the recipe I learnt instead of constantly purchasing outside as I assume it'll be more economical. I enlisted the help of my friend who is a chef. Enough rambling, let me show you how I did it.
INGREDIENTS USED
• Carrot
• Cabbage
• Sausage
• Beef
• Chicken
• Ketchup
• Mayonnaise
• Tortilla wrap
• Salt
• Pepper
• Seasoning cube
• 1 Onion bulb
THE PROCESS PROPER.
For the proteins,
• First, wash the chicken and beef, marinate using seasoning, pepper, salt and some onion.(For me, I used the protein we had as we had some at home).
• Next, drain out the stock and chop the protein in bits.
• For your sausage, fry them for about 2-3 minutes making sure all the sides are properly cooked. Make sure to flip it over at intervals so it doesn't burn.
For the veggies;
• I washed the veggies(carrot and cabbage) properly.
• Chopped them into tiny slices.
• Next, in a bowl, i added up all the veggies and mixed them together.
• In another bowl, I added the mayonnaise and ketchup and mixed thoroughly.
Now to the filling;
• On a clean, flat surface, I placed the tortilla wraps(I used two wraps at once instead of one because the wraps were too light).
• Next, I scooped some of the ketchup mix and spread evenly all over the wrap.
• Next, at one end of the wrap, I added some chicken/beef bits, a sausage and some veggies mix.
Because I wanted mine creamer, I added some more scoops of the ketchup mix.
• Then, i began to roll the wrap from the end where I placed the fillings till it was properly covered.(My wrap was too thin hence it tore. I also used a little of the mix to seal the edges as they didn't close properly.
• Finally, in a pan, i placed the wrapped sharwama and warmed it up.
Viola!
I enjoyed the goodness with my and friend and siblings(I still have them even after they had slandered me).
Now, I know this isn't like the standard as I didn't use all of regular ingredients but that's what I could afford. Meanwhile, I enjoyed the whole process even though one or two things didn't go right.its just a first trial. I'll do better next time. It was totally worth the effort.
PS: In the process, I may not have included the images of where I used the spices and that's because we already had cooked protein at home.
Most pictures are screenshots taken from the video I made. I barely remembered to take pictures
All photos are mine.
Thanks for stopping by.
Good-day!
