Hello, good day to all, as you all already know, today the Hive Monagas meeting will be held, which I will attend. The point is that last night I slept super late, so I thought, to prepare a cold coffee and take it home. So that's what we'll do, look at it as an alternative for a long day 😊
The first thing and as always, is to make the coffee. Today and just for today, I am going to make it in infusion, that is, I place the coffee directly in the water and cook it over a very low heat until it begins to bubble slightly.
It is important that it is over a very low heat, because although it may not seem like it, the coffee is quite delicate and when it is infused over high heat, it usually develops a very strong bitter taste and in fact, that is why I make it as an infusion this time , because I need a strong flavor for the next step 😊
And what is the next step? Freeze it overnight. The cold makes our taste buds tend to go numb a bit and lose a certain level of sensitivity and sense of taste, which is why we need strong flavors to counteract that effect.
This is something very common, you can try a Coca-Cola without refrigeration and you will notice that it tastes very strong, well, it is precisely for that, for when you consume it cold, the flavor still remains 😊
Hello again, it's already the big day and the ice cubes and milk (yes, I also froze milk) are frozen to death.
To prepare my portable coffee, to call it in some way, I am going to first cover the thermos with homemade dulce de leche, did you notice that at the beginning I hardly put sugar? Well, the dulce de leche will give us the necessary sweetness 😊
Then, I placed 2 buckets of milk and one of coffee... like this until the entire thermos was filled.
Now, this as it is, it would take a long time to melt, which is why we added something more liquid, to help melt the poles and collaborate with global warming... no, wait, I got off topic 😂
Anyway, I added condensed milk and finished with one more tablespoon of dulce de leche. Now I'm going to put it in the fridge until the last minute, so I'm going to take a shower and get ready for the big day 😊
