Garden Updates: The Baby Bitter Gourds and Other Veggies are so CUTE!!! <3

in #hive-15028010 months ago

It's just less than a week since my last update, but I'm just pretty excited to share some progress in our garden. I didn't know that bitter gourds grow so fast... if a few days ago, their flowers just started budding and blossoming, now, there are already tiny veggies attached to them. And they're super cute to look at. I took some shots this morning during my garden visit, so let me show them to you.

Currently, there are four obvious ones that are growing. They're still pretty tiny... perhaps a couple inches or less. I really enjoyed trying to find more potential veggies that would grow in the coming days.

This is how our bitter gourd plant looks right now. Papa added another tube below, so the vines would just go around. Most of the baby veggies are in the higher arch, but the smaller plants have started budding and blossoming in the lower part of the arch as well. I wonder how big they'd grow given that the plants' actual growth is limited because they're planted in a makeshift pot. Either way, I'm excited to continue seeing their progress until we can finally harvest them. <3

It's not only the bitter gourd that's been making some progress. Less than a week ago, there were just two calamansi (Philippine Lime) sprouts in this container, but now there are around seven of them! I was already ecstatic to see the couple sprouts a few days back, but this made me happier! Once they grow bigger, we can replant them in a bigger container or pot giving them more room to grow.

In my previous update, there was just one baby tomato, but lo and behold!!! There's another tiny one thriving! It rained quite hard this morning, so there's still some water droplets left... but it adds to the aesthetic, don't you think? Let me show you more baby veggies!

There are some baby okra and eggplants, but some of them are ready to harvest. Perhaps, I'd have to do so either tomorrow or anytime this week. We kept some of the okra in the fridge for a few days and mama cooked them a while ago. haha

It really feels nice to see our vegetable garden thriving despite having the vegetables planted in pots. The progress is something to look forward to every day. Gardening is truly satisfying! <3

Thanks for checking this post. See you in my next update! (^^,)/
