Garden Update: Re-planting the Guava seedlings + Planting Bitter Gourd Seeds

in #hive-150280last year

Heya!!!!
It's Wednesday, but I failed to go on a Wednesday walk today for a variety of reasons. One is that it literally rained the whole day yesterday, so the roads would be crazy in the morning. Second, it was still drizzling at dawn when the usual alarm woke me up... and lastly, our city would be so busy this week because of our city's festival. My papa and I decided to get back to our Wednesday walk next week. Hopefully, it's much calmer then...

And so, instead of the usual Wednesday walk, papa and I decided to work on our garden earlier today! There are some stuff to do and luckily, we still have some good garden soil left. :)

Papa prepared the recycled pots and soil for the re-planting. We need a big pot for the guava tree, so we chose these water gallons.

We're so happy to see these two growing well. They're the only survivor among the guava seeds I tried to germinate when I was cutting some guava fruit to eat. haha I was surprised when three sprouts eventually grew after about a month.

Unfortunately, one of them didn't survive. It literally had one small leaf back then. However, I'm glad that these two here thrived. We needed to replant them now since the previous container is already too small for them.

They were successfully replanted and now have much more room to grow. I'll update you about their progress next time. :)

As for me, I decided to try planting the bitter gourd or melon seeds I tried drying last time. I was cutting some bitter gourd for lunch and decided to keep some of the seeds to grow. I'm not sure if they'll grow, but I'm hopeful.

They have much bigger seeds compared to the plants we've already planted in our home garden. If ever they sprouted, we'd have to prepare a bit more space than usual at home and hopefully in the community garden as well.

I'm not sure... but I do hope to see some cute sprouts in the days to come.

Thanks a lot for checking this post out. See you around and may you have a great one! (^^,)/

PS: Bonus photo: I saw this lovely anthurium in our garden this morning. It's so pretty!

Gardening not only helps you grow plants but also provides a sense of accomplishment and a connection to the natural world. You're doing great, keep it up.

Couldn't agree more... Thanks a lot! :D

Hopefully these plants will be far from pests and will have a good harvest later @tegoshei

I really hope so, too... :)
But so far, there aren't any pests in our garden. I hope it stays that way.
Thank you so much. :D
