Happy day friends and everyone in the #cleanplanet community. It's been an amazing week and now we are swimming during the weekend to rest from stress.
For me, it's been one of the best weekends of my life. I know you may want to hear more but I'm a man of few words, hehe.
The weather yesterday night was not funny at all. The heavy rain and storm sent me to bed by force. I had plans to complete many tasks before going to bed but as the rain and wind intensified, I had to keep my head down and sleep.
That rain reminded me of my scheduled cleaning activity this morning and one thing I remembered was that my picking glove is going to get wet again, lolz.
So after waking up this morning and finishing up certain urgent chores like cleaning up the house, I headed to my street and did a quick cleanup of the place. As my Mom often tells me, “Care for yourself and everyone around you before moving out to others”, so heeding to this, I had to make sure my house was clean first before going ahead to clean up my street.
So from an empty bag to a filled one.
Here are photos of my cleaning activity. They are time stamped and were all taken at the time of my cleaning exercise:
After ensuring the environment took a cleaner and better look, I moved on to the next phase of my cleaning activity which is disposal.
As I often say and won't forget to emphasize, “No complete cleaning activity without proper disposal”. Proper disposal of gathered wastes during cleaning activities is what makes a complete cleaning activity and serves as a full stop.
With this at the back of my mind, I made sure the waste bag containing the trash I gathered was properly disposed of in the waste container.
Before I conclude, I would love to expose everyone to certain facts we need to know about certain ways germs can be contacted and how the body helps us to some extent fight against these germs.
The mouth is one of the body openings that has many functions. The mouth is used for eating, drinking, talking and even breathing for those that have nasal disorders or problems with breathing with the nose.
Everyday as we engage in different activities, sometimes our hands pick up germs from surfaces we touched and without proper care, these germs can be taken into the stomach through the mouth. But thank God for the gastric juice in our stomach which contains hydrochloric acid. This acid helps the body kill germs that will ingest into our stomach either through food or water.
But this doesn't serve as a guarantee for us to develop an indifferent attitude towards personal hygiene as the acid only kills certain amounts of germs, not all. So we must help ourselves by always keeping our hands clean and dried as often as possible and also mind what we eat.
Thanks for reading friends.
Enjoy your day.
