While I was waiting for my friends birthday gift parcel sending from far away, I decided that I'm gonna make a birthday card and prepare some material to decorate the gift before it arrives.
First, I did some light editing on pc then printed the cover of the image, and stick it on hard paper (ivory paper).
So, this is the image that I wanted to make as a pop up, printed and cut out.
Then, I measured and cut a normal paper with the cutout, make sure the horizontal measurement of the paper has a little bit extra than the cut out.
Fold the paper in half.
Then, fold approximately 1cm at the bottom of the paper.
Cut a little triangle at the folded part.
Another view.
Then, I stick the cut out to the paper.
Cut it out nicely, now the standee is firm enough.
Put the pop out paper on the card, adjust how you want it to stand, then use pencil to make a light marking for where I wanted to stick it.
Like this.
Sticked! Then it should be able to fold like this inside of the card.
Then tada! Make sure the pop up was completely dried then open!
Here is a little gif on how it looks like.
This is the video where I learned this pop up thing from, he introduced several other pop up technique too! I picked the easiest.
