Hi everyone! Today I am going to share a DIY post on how I made an art prompts jar. I love art but sometimes I just don't have the inspiration to go on. I think this will motivate me to keep going and trying new paintings. I will pick one popsicle stick when I want to paint something and I will go on with whatever I get.

I went to a store where they were selling household items. Me being me, my eyes managed to catch this colourful package of popsicle sticks. So I quickly grabbed a pack without thinking what I will do with it :D

There were 51 sticks altogether and they came in 6 colours which are red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. My favourite is the purple.

I am actually using the tutorials of Lindsay Weirich (thefrugalcrafter). Please click here to check her channel out. She makes wonderful paintings and they are great for practice or just some fun. I made a list of all the themes I wanted to try.

I colour coded them based on themes. Blue for objects, yellow for animals, purple for specific object themes, red for flowers, orange for food and green for sceneries. While the theme I pick may be a random art, this method of colour coding gives me a certain degree of control to choose what I want to paint.

At first I thought of writing on the sticks directly. Then, I changed my mind and chose to use washi tapes to stick on them so I can write on top of them. This way, I can reuse the sticks when I am done painting everything.

This is the first stick I did. It is in green.

Soon I got more of them done. Check out how colourful they are! I love the rainbow sticks together.

I completed all of them, which now means I have 51 paintings to complete.

I placed all of them in this glass jar. It is the one we use for drinking but since it is one of cheap quality, I thought of using it for my paint water and now for this.

This is how it looks from the top right before picking a stick. I cant see the labels so it will be a surprise when I pick one.

So today I discovered that I can change the colours of the outfits in the app, which I am very happy about! Thank you for dropping by and I hope that you have a wonderful day =)

Yes. It is great to recycle and reuse items as much as we can. It is a little something that we can all do for our planet =)
