Hello everyone! Today I finished making my calendar layout for the month of January 2023 in my bullet journal. Since it is the first month of the new year, I decided to go with a multicolour layout instead of a limited number of colours. I chose rainbow pastel colours.
This is my bullet journaling notebook. I started a new one just a week ago so I just continued in that. I drew the calendar boxes using a pencil.
These are the plain washi tapes I picked. I got 7 pastel coloured tapes for the days of the week.
I just wrote all the days using a black gel pen. For the first time I did an informal, wobbly font on all of them.
Here's a closer look. I think the wobbly font made even Monday look fun :D By the way, the sun was hitting my table in such a way that only the word Monday was in light while everywhere else was covered in a shadow. I thought it was cool and took a picture.
I wrote the numbers of all the days of the month in an orange glitter pen.
This is my notes section where I wrote all the important things for the month. I have also included the washi tape set that I used for the title.
These are just three little goals I would like to accomplish in the month. They are, to finish a novel I am currently reading, to finish a course I am taking and to reach 1,000 subscribers on my YouTube channel.
These are the washi tapes sets I chose to decorate the whole calendar layout.
This is how I do it. I cut out the images on the tapes and use them like stickers. This way, I can save money instead of buying sticker sets each time I want to decorate a layout. These tapes are versatile and I maximize their use as stickers and not just as title tapes and borders.
So I was done decorating the layout. I wanted the chill 'lofi' vibes to match the pastel tapes on top. Hence, I used pictures of cute outfits, balloons and plants.
This is the top of the left page. I used these highlighters in muted tones to decorate the space above. I did a spirals and squares design on the left. On the right, I drew two butterflies in pink and green in a purple heart surrounded by many other little hearts in the background. Of course, I also wrote the name of the month, January in the middle.
I wrote the year on the right page. On the left is a rose flower I drew and coloured. I even managed to do a little gradient effect, with darker colour of purple on the left and orange on right for highlights. On the furthest right area, I drew a happy-looking sun.
Finally, I wrote the events and festivals for the month. I got a family prayers event coming up, and a few festivals as well. I also filled the boxes with one line of memory for each day. I will keep writing them as the days pass by. This is the completed page. I am quite happy with how it turned out. Hopefully I can colour and tick all the little boxes on the right when I look back at the end of the month later on.
This is just a diagonal angle of the same layout.
Thank you for dropping by and I wish you a great day ahead :)
