Those who know me know that I love coffee, it is one of my favorite drinks and in my day to day life coffee is always present, for that reason I had always thought of having a personalized coffee mug with the reference of something that I also love almost as much as coffee, I'm talking about #Hive.
En muchas ocasiones pensé en realizar la taza desde cero, con materiales reciclables pero descarté rápidamente la idea ya que los materiales para esta elaboración tendrían que ser sumamente resistentes. Luego pensé en buscar en internet algún lugar donde hicieran lo que yo estaba buscando y encontré algo muy parecido.
Lo primero que encontré fue lugares donde trabajan con la sublimación de tazas, franelas y otros productos, el problema es que la mayoría de estos lugares están ubicados en otra ciudad un poco alejada de donde vivo, así que esa opción no era la más indicada.
In many occasions I thought about making the mug from scratch, with recyclable materials but I quickly discarded the idea since the materials for this elaboration would have to be extremely resistant. Then I thought of looking on the internet for a place where they made what I was looking for and I found something very similar.
The first thing I found were places where they work with the sublimation of mugs, flannel and other products, the problem is that most of these places are located in another city a little far from where I live, so that option was not the most suitable.
Finalmente y como por cosas de la vida una amiga me comentó de una persona que trabaja con la realización de etiquetas hechas en vinilo y a la cual ella acudía cuando tenía que hacer algún detalle, ya que mi amiga trabaja con la realización de obsequios, de hecho me mostró algunos trabajos hechos por ella muy parecidos a lo que yo quería para mi taza así que me contactó con la persona que hace las etiquetas.
Encargué mi etiqueta luego de escoger la que más me gustó, esto fue una decisión difícil ya que quería incluir en el diseño tanto el logo de Hive como otros elementos que a mí me gustan de esta plataforma pero por el tamaño de la taza no podrían ir incluidos, de hecho, en el diseño final debió ir el lema ”Join the revolution” que finalmente no quedó integrado en el resultado final por falta de espacio en la taza.
Finally, a friend of mine told me about a person who works with vinyl labels and to whom she went when she had to make a detail, since my friend works with the realization of gifts, in fact she showed me some works made by her very similar to what I wanted for my mug so I contacted the person who makes the labels.
I ordered my label after choosing the one I liked the most, this was a difficult decision since I wanted to include in the design both the Hive logo and other elements that I like about this platform but due to the size of the mug they could not be included, in fact, in the final design should have been the slogan "Join the revolution" that finally was not integrated in the final result due to lack of space on the mug.
Luego de escoger el diseño de la etiqueta comenzaba otra odisea, escoger y comprar la taza que utilizaría para mi diseño. Esta tarea fue algo complicada pero igualmente placentera, me resultó difícil decidirme por un solo modelo de taza ya que me gustaban muchos y no podía dar con el que para mí era el indicado pero finalmente lo logré.
Dos días fue todo lo que tardó todo este proceso, compré mi taza y al día siguiente me entregaron la etiqueta que yo mismo quise ensamblar para sentirme presente en todas las partes del proceso. Tengo que destacar algo muy importante y es que mi auto-regalo fue hecho en su totalidad con los fondos que tenía gracias a mis recompensas en esta colmena.

This task was somewhat complicated but equally pleasant, it was difficult to decide on a single model of mug because I liked many and I could not find the one that was right for me but finally I did it.
Two days was all it took, I bought my mug and the next day they gave me the label that I wanted to assemble myself to feel present in all parts of the process. I have to highlight something very important and that is that my self gift was made entirely with the funds I had thanks to my rewards in this hive.
Con esta taza quise hacer material el vínculo mediante el cual me siento unido a esta plataforma llamada Hive, un vínculo que me llena de muchas cosas buenas, entre ellas alegría, y al cual quisiera seguir unido.
