Hi Hivers and Hiveians! A week ago, we went to the Jardin Secreto (Secret Garden) Anarchapulco event of 2023! Anarchapulco is an event where anarchists discuss and connect about freedom.
Freedom is something we all need. Visiting anywhere you want, not having to rely on anyone and not having to stress about what the future might bring. At the Anarchapulco event, I was surprised to see so many people that also believe the world is better with independence and that use crypto as well.
This year they called the event "Anarchapulco Resist". As there were so many people there, there were also tons of kids so they setup a family camp where they could all play, make arts and crafts and learn.
Anarchy means "no rulers". When kids at a young age learn about Hive, they can grow already earning passive income so they can intellectually thrive, learn more about the world and pass it down to further generations.
With that said, let's do this adventure!
At the family camp, I tried to create a pom pom out of yarn, but it didn't really work out the way I wanted it to. So I attached it to the back of a cardboard sign as decoration. I hung it up at the family camp arts and crafts area.
By then it was lunch time so we got some food. We checked in as VIP so they were giving out delicious food for free!
I loved this sandwich-type meal that they had that included cheese, egg, cilantro, ham and more.
So I got dessert too..
After having a good meal, every day at 2:00 pm there would be a hoola-hooping class. Which was near a pool and massage area.
With our good teacher "Jona" we would practice and do multiple tricks. One day, when I came to class, my teacher told me something amazing. We would be training for a hoola-hoop musical performance on the big stage! I was so stunned that our teacher really liked our skills and said that we were so good to do a big dance performance. That day, Jona taught us all the steps and tricks to perfect the show.
Thanks to my mom who took many of these photos since she was always watching nearby hehe. 😁
Soon, the day came. We were all ready waiting backstage while some speakers were talking on stage. I was very excited but part of me was also nervous. We all stood in a line and I took a deep breath before we were all announced onto stage. This was our moment.
The big performance
We all got up to the crowd, smiled and greeted with hello.
The crowd cheered as I looked at my friends, we were ready.
Then, the music starts playing as we all do the intro together. Then, we all walked to the back of the stage.
Our teacher would then call out the name of any kid which will then come to the front of the stage and show their trick.
After she called the names of other kids, she suddenly called my name. It was my turn to show my trick. When I started dancing, I somehow instantly lost all of my shyness and let out all of my joy.
We were all having a great time on stage. As the crowd cheered and clapped so loud we couldn't help but be proud. With a smile, we threw our hoops into the air and bowed to the audience. It was a great experience.
Backstage we all gave each other a high-five for doing great. There were other kids that wanted to perform as well after us. So we watched them as they did theirs.
At the end, some kids came and showed a thank you sign they made for all the donors that donated money to the orphans in a Mexican orphanage.
Peace, love, anarchy
