For garden enthusiasts, this place is really a paradise. Thousands of plant species are housed here. If you want an old olive tree, a palm tree or fruit bearng trees , she has it all. She also has olive woods for those who have a fireplace or wood burner. All of my friends who live in the camp or on the mountain buy their firewood here, My friend Ioanna runs this place. She has taken over this garden center about 2 years ago from our dear friends, actually three brothers who used to be our real estate agent who mediated and sold us our avocado finca. One of the brothers is a councilor in our town, one has a business in Frankfurt, Germany. the youngest of the brothers works for an insurance conpany.

Before we went back to Vienna, I visited the garden center once more. Every season that we stayed in Andalusia, I "smuggled" and bring one or two succulents to add them to my indoor collection back at homebase. I could have gotten some flowering plants for my Andalusian yard, but our stay in the town is limited and besides nobody is watering the garden. We have a spanish friend who takes care of the weeds around the yard. The last two images are the two agave-type of succulents that I wanted to bring along but the our luggages exceeded the maximum weight of 23 kgs each, so I decided to plant them in the garden instead, hopefully they will grow in our absence. The last visit to Ioanna´s garden paradise is really inspirational. I already thingking of getting a few succulents/cacti when I come back. These are the only plants I could afford to grow because you can leave them behind without watering....afterall, I have a Mediterranean garden and most of the succulents and cacti I had planted before grew in the wild, I know Mother Nature will take care of them.

Thanks for reading...Take care and I´ll see you around!

They are beautiful!! I am sure that they will grow in your absence! Safe travels!

Thank you Denise dear!

Flowers galore! I have a lot of geraniums too but they have not started to show up.

Geraniums are summer plants, they love the heat but should be placed under semi shade area.
