Happy New Year hivers! Now this is a good theme after the holidays! Hmmm, I have prepared many dishes that I love to share with you guys.

This was last Dec. 24. I only prepared some dishes just enough for the four of us plus our baby since my youngest and other grandson couldn't make it. It's a waste if not consumed and there's still the New Year's eve!

Some of the dishes are fuccili Pesto. It's like carbonara. So yummy!

Of course, we had spaghetti as always for long life.:)

And my iconic menu, my undying Hamonada!

We had flan cake too!

Daughter's school head gave each a smoked ham as the school's giveaways. I like it better than those in cans.

That's my daughter's family eating during our Noche Buena.

For dessert, we had cakes, chocolate, ice cream, apples and red wine to burn out those fats!

Well, Antonia's mom is in Germany so she sent us her beautiful arrangements while preparing food.

And for the New Year's Eve preparation, we opted to buy a package deal food. We like to taste other dishes which is different from our food last Christmas and this time, daughter said she'd like me to just to sit down and wait for our food.:)

It was prepared by Bess Kusina (Bess Kitchen). They cater foods and most of which are seafoods. The owner is actually my daughter's classmate in college and still working as head nurse but it doesn't stop the couple to venture in other business. Her hubby once worked in Dubai as a chief and decided to come home to establish their own seafoods restaurant.

Actually, it's prepared in a bamboo tray for boodle fighting. The food is placed above and below is rice.

As you can see on the first line, there were fried bangus (milk fish) sprinkled with fried garlic, boiled okra and lumpia (spring roll).

Next are whole grilled chicken, crabs and sliced smoked ham.

Then one row of shrimps. Next, there's salted with ripe mangoes followed by fried pork chopped ribs and fried chicken.

For dessert, the owner of Bess Kusina gave us a tray of mashed potato salad as Christmas present. It was so good.

Daughter prepared these charcuterie board.

Lastly, we had a whole tray of homemade sweet cassava cake! Antonia's mom sent a big box of various Excelsior Chocolates too!

Thanks for the compliments dear! So long as there's food on the table with your loved ones is more than enough. I really love to cook especially when the kids are around.

Those were good foods! We also shared some good meals during the New Year's Eve with our family.

Yes dear, after all, we do it once a year only, right? Thanks for the visit. You're always welcome!

Yw. Thanks!

Wow, that is a serious spread, I am sure all guests were more than satisfied. I'd never heard of hamonada before, and although I don't speak Tagalog, it's clear "ham" is involved 😆😆😆.

Yeah...I guess it's a Spanish term derived from "Jamonado" which is similar to ham though hamonada or hamonado is cooked fresh while ham is prepared and cured to at least 6-8 months or longer. Both have distinct taste too.🙂

I just learned something new. In the countryside of the USA we have something called "country ham," not trendy anymore because it is so unhealthy, but I loved it as a kid. It is just ham cured in a barrel of salt for nearly one year.

Wow. You guys had a lot of good foods during the Holidays.

Yeah, it's the tradition... Did you?
