May 8th โก๏ธ May 15th, 2023ย ย ย For this week's challenge I want us all to go beyond our borders and cook something that isn't typical cuisine of the country we live in. Pizza, pasta, burgers, sushi, tacos, any kind of international foods are welcome for this culinary challenge. You can even stay in Southeast Asia for this one, but perhaps make something from another country, like Nasi Goreng if you're a Filipina, or Pad Thai if you're Vietnamese.
ย ย ย Take photos, share your recipe, make a dish for the first time that you've always wanted to try, there are many ways to approach this challenge. Have fun, be creative, and show us your supreme ASEAN Hive chefery skills. Often times when making international foods that aren't common, it can be hard to find all the ingredients, and I love to see creative substitutions. ย ย ย There were so many outstanding entries for this challenge, making it really hard to narrow things down to only three winners. The 1st place winner's post really gave me some good laughs, 2nd place was like a paradise on Earth, and the 3rd place entry triggered my sweet tooth. Yesterday, the temperature in our city reached to 35 degrees celsius. It was so hot and to top it all the whole city underwent a power interruption from 5am til 4pm because our local electric company did some system maintenance good thing classes were suspended in all levels just so kids will not experience the heat.

So as my family and I visited the place..we took an adventurous walk in this very refreshing place..you know..during hot weather...best to spend your time to freshwaters surrounded with the big trees..because of the cool and fresh air that it gives. So firstly we went to this part of the forest, Ahw..this place is not open for the public ha!! This is just a part of an environment where the tenants enjoyed every day of their lifeโฆ

My family usually makes our own sweet shaved ice at home once a month. Since the recent weather has been extremely hot, it is almost as if we are having sweet shaved ice almost every week. Even if you stay inside a car, the air conditioner cannot beat the outside heat. In addition, the car can become a solar microwave for warming my water in the bottle and food in the container (bring food from home to eat in my office).
