The fist thing is choosing my canvas. I used a hard cover of and old book.
At first I wanted to paint over black, but later I decided to go white.

Starting to take shape, so excited!
As I mentioned in the previous post, one of my passions is recycling. That's why today I'm sharing with you a painting I made from a series I'm doing, whose canvas are _hard covers of an encyclopedia that was going to be discarded.
Materials:
. Hard cover of a book
. . cold paint (for ceramics) in any color.
. Brushes and paintbrushes
. Pen without ink
. Marker, chalk or graphite pencil .
. White glue
. Correction marker .
Process:
We take the inside of the book cover and give it 2 coats of paint in the color of our choice. I applied 4 coats.
Let it dry. We choose the drawing we want, in my case I decided for this super simple one. If you are not skilled in drawing, you can take a copy of vectors on sites like pinterest and trace them on the canvas with a pen without ink, which is what I did.
This time I tried a white background, used a yellow marker to go over the lines.
Then with a pencil, I went over and painted freely, I am not using a specific technique. In fact I tried several techniques for beginners and I didn't like it. Then I worked with 3 school brushes of different thickness until I started to like it.
Finally I applied 2 thin coats of white school glue to seal and give it that semi-glossy and smooth to the touch look
