In October, our garden underwent many transformations.
During the first half of the month we were still picking cucumbers, peppers, zucchini and Pattypan squash.
We also had cherry tomatoes and green tomatoes that were not ripe.
But towards the middle of the month the first frost fell and most of the plants were stricken.
We started clearing the garden.
We collect the pumpkins.
We are picking cabbage.
We take out a red beet.
I collect seeds.
We collected the gourds.
We have a bed of leeks that we are already consuming.
We dry hot peppers.
During this month the saffron blooms and I collect its flowers to extract its red threads.
We watch with interest how the fruits of the persimmon turn orange. I can't wait for them to ripen.
