A pleasant pink color adorns our garden and these are the flowers of the Echinacea.
Besides being a very beautiful flower, Echinacea is also a very useful herb.
It is a powerful immunostimulator, as it has a number of antibacterial and anti-influenza properties. It has been proven that healing time is shortened when taking the herb, as it deeply strengthens the body.
The herb has a strong regenerating effect and also purifies the blood and lymph.
Another very useful property of it is that it protects the body from arthritis and rheumatism:
"Releasing free radicals from the body, the beautiful flower protects the joints, dealing with inflammation. Applying Echinacea ointment to the affected areas can also have a soothing and regenerating effect."

This year our little tuft is now bigger and has a lot more flowers that are also taller. The flowers, roots and stems can now be harvested for medicinal purposes as the plant is now over 2 years old.
The parts of the herb that I will collect and dry will be used for tea for my family, but I am very tempted to make a homemade salve with some of the flowers and leaves. I will tell you about it if I decide to do it.
