Hello gardeners lovers, this is my first post after six months of not being active in this community, this happened because I was sick and had to undergo treatment for six months. I am very happy to be able to be active again in this community.
Today I went to the garden and got a bunch of ripe bananas on the tree. This is a green Ambon banana, it tastes almost the same as a king banana, the fruit is big and sweet, especially when it ripens on a tree like this.
Because these green Ambon bananas ripen on the tree, some of the fruits have been eaten by codot (animals that like to eat fruits at night, like bats). Animals are tempted by the aroma of ripe bananas on this tree, let alone us, the taste of the bananas is very sweet, especially since these are bananas that are planted without fertilizer, they just grow well, like wild bananas.
I immediately took a machete and took a green Ambon banana. This green Ambon banana is usually only processed into a sponge cake, because if it is only boiled, it tastes a little sour. Therefore, this banana is usually eaten immediately after it ripens on the tree.
Although ripe, this banana is not yellow like other bananas, therefore it is called green Ambon banana. The fruit is also bigger and fragrant, there is a distinctive aroma that comes out when this green Ambon banana is ripe.
In order for the green Ambon banana plant to grow well and have large fruit, it must be planted in a fertile place with slightly sandy soil. My friends who grow green Ambon bananas, they complain when their banana plants die and when they bear fruit, the fruit is not big, tends to be smaller, compared to the bananas I plant, even though the seeds of their green Ambon banana plants come from my garden.
It turns out that the type of soil greatly affects the growth of banana plants and also the taste of the fruit. So far I have not paid much attention, but after my friends discussed their green Ambon banana plants, I came to understand the importance of soil type. To get green Ambon bananas that are large and sweet, you need suitable soil.
Thank you for reading my post, see you next time, don't forget to support me 🥰
