First time planting carrots in a hot area

in #hive-1406355 months ago

The greatest happiness felt by a gardener is when the harvesting process arrives, the efforts made so far on his garden will be visible when the harvest arrives. But in order to get a harvest, a gardener must go through the planting process. I don't have a large plantation area, but because I like gardening, I will use my small area of land to become a small garden. In my small garden there are several types of plants that I can use to meet my family's daily needs. Even though the results are not much, the most important thing is that it can help meet my family's vegetable needs.

Planting carrots in polybags

Last Sunday, I planted carrots. At first I was hesitant to plant carrots, because as far as I knew carrots would grow well in highland areas with a cool climate. But I am very excited to grow carrots in my small garden. Last week, I bought a kilogram of carrots to make seeds. I put these carrots in the refrigerator to speed up the growth of the shoots. Within one week, the carrots had sprouted, it was time for me to try planting carrots in polybags.

In the morning, I started filling used polybags and burlap with soil. Because the land in the front yard of my house is rocky and it is impossible to plant vegetables, I am looking for a way to continue growing vegetables, so I use polybags and burlap used for rice to plant carrots.

In the afternoon, I started planting the carrots, I didn't know whether this would be successful or not, because carrots like cool climates, while the weather conditions in my area are hot.

In one polybag, I only planted one carrot, in others I planted two carrots in one polybag, because I ran out of polybags, I will move the other carrot plant tomorrow.

The next day, I started checking the carrot plants to see if they were growing well. After I checked it, I was very happy, in just 24 hours, my carrot plants had grown well, it was marked with lush green shoots.

This is the first time I have seen the carrot plants that I planted in polybags grow shoots, I am very excited. When I checked the carrot plants, I saw a snail crawling on the polybag. This animal really likes young leaf shoots, I immediately got rid of them.

At first my aim was to take the leaves, but I changed my aim, I wanted to grow it to take the tubers. So I planted cassava again to take the leaves, I planted them very closely spaced.

Apart from rambutan fruit, in my garden there are always bananas available, they taste sweet and fresh, because I don't provide manufactured fertilizer, all the fruit plants in my garden grow naturally and I only provide organic fertilizer from unused vegetable scraps.
