Welcome to my blog
Don't count the days, make the days count

Greetings, dear community of gardeners of the world #HiveGarden.
For a gardener it is very nice to be given as a gift some plants, cuttings, or some seeds, isn't it? Tell me, if you also like them?
In previous posts I have said that my brother-in-law has given me several plants such as white and orange lilies, basil, a variety of beautiful eleven o'clock, palms, and others. Also, sunflower seeds, carnation, apamate, saman.
Two weeks ago I went to his house, after a while my brother-in-law called me to see his garden, he had brought him a plant called oregano from Trujillo state. So I told him that I wanted several plants and he was happy to give me some:
- Oregano of trujillo.
- Rosemary bunches.
- Malojillo.
- A succulent.
In his garden there is a plant of auyama, zapallo or pumpkin, he tells me that it has spread too much and its flower falls off quickly, the fruit does not consolidate. And he laments because there is a need for food. At that time I did not know what to recommend, until I made a comment to my daughter who studies a subject at the university, and she tells me or recommends that for that case, you should:
- Identify the female and male flower.
- To achieve this, the flowers are bagged to prevent other agents from arriving, the pollen is collected from the stamen and transferred to the stigma, and then covered again until fertilization takes place.
I am going to document myself to advise you and also to try when I have a plant, a few years ago I had several with the same problem plus I had lack of water.
And my brother-in-law was committed to plant an ixora, and other succulents for the next visit.
I also went to my sister and surprise! She had a beautiful succulent for me. From here, thank you, sister! I don't post the picture because I break the rules of this challenge.
Both my sister and brother-in-law love to give me plants because I am too passionate about the garden, I am very attentive to the plants. I try as much as possible to keep them. And they have verified when they visit my garden that the plants donated by them are alive.
I also let you know that the kitten keeps visiting my garden.
He is there every day. It will be because in it there are shaded, and cool places, because the temperature is quite high. Or maybe it is to eat, now I feed him twice a day. You know I want to give him a name, my husband says he would like him to be called Felix because he is more black than white and reminds him of the cartoon Felix the cat. Do you think he likes the name or would it be better to call him Felix the gardener?
By the way, I invite @ivycrafts and @blanca56 to participate in the #Creativegarden challenge.
