Here is where I left off with my last update about a month ago.

Here is the last picture of the farm that I took for that post, I had just done a couple of weeks of watering from my new tank but the rains had not started in earnest yet.
Here is a recent picture from about 2 weeks ago on the 28th of April. I have a lot of weeding to do.
We will get back to the garden but I will continue with some other updates first.
I have encountered some strange creatures around the resort. Here is one that looks like a flying shrimp. And another that was almost as big as my palm that resembles something like a cracken in the movies.
Enjoying some pizza with the Wifey in the new bar during a rainy evening.
We have continued to make some finishing touches on the bar particularly the mural wall which we are seen here taking some of the first pictures with and getting glass in the doors finally.
I got my first basil harvest of the season and made some pesto as usual.
I made some blue tea from the butterfly pea flower. It didnt have much of a taste but is supposed to be good for you. It will also change to a purple color if acid is introduced.
I did a video short last week of the fishing harbor I visited in the next village here are some nice pics to go with it. If you walked along the beach this is probably only about 5km from where we live.
Sunday @dzigbordi and I went for a walk on the beach and took some photos. As you can see in the first photo of the post she is sporting a little bit of a baby bump. So more big changes coming in our life.
While on this walk I stumbled across this interesting find. It looks like someone has left an offering to the lagoon god, gods, or diety.

I think this collection of bottles was also part of it.
We were at a perfect time to catch a bit of a nice sunset over the lagoon.
And now for the garden update time.
A view of the water tank and my nursery bed with the sun net over the top.

A view of the early development of one of my 3 sisters beds, these have beans, corn, squash/pumpkin/watermelon this one also has some sunflowers.
Another view of the top 3 sisters bed.
Another 3 sisters this one with corn, black eyed peas, watermelon and sunflower as a 4th sister.
This bed has cucumber down the middle, some radishes, a volunteer tomato and then two rows of dill down each side.
This bed is not looking like much here but along the left side is some cantalope, along the right is some tomato, there are some alefu volunteers mixed in. I have since planted it on the right side with some peppers, egg plants, and some basil.
All of the above pics are from 2 weeks ago. Below are pics from last night and this morning. I had a lot of seeding failure and now that I am clearing the first batch of weeds I hope to have more success and get a more densely populated garden.
Here is the latest pic from yesterday of the butter fly pea bush and the cucumber, radish and dill bed.
This bed did not do at all what I wanted but I have got a lot of alefu out of it, and I am leaving the basil, spinach and rocket be for now. I will try to plant some more rocket and see what else can stick in here now that I have harvested all the rocket below and can properly weed it. There was even 2 sunflower volunteers and a couple of tomatoes. I originally planted basil, lettuce, broccoli, and rocket.
The alefu harvest from yesterday that @dzigbordi will be turning into some stew for us soon.
This is the top 3 sisters, I have mostly got it weeded but I still need to transplant all of the spinach volunteers. There are also a lot of other volunteers, basil, watermelon, and tomato. I will try to get it down to corn, butternut squash, beans, and sunflowers.
A view over the space. You can see the line of Pawpaw trees in the swale. They are now flowering and I am sure we will see a lot of fruit on them soon. I have planted a lot of dwarf pawpaw in the next swale down also.
Dzigbordi enjoying the shade of the watering tank this morning.
Volunteer basil patch from where I dumped seed husks. I will thin this out with transplanting very soon.
A lower 3 sisters bed, this one badly needs me to weed it.
The upper 3 sisters bed from another angle.
Well that is about it for my update for now. I am sure I will share more with you as life and the garden go on.
