I thought that during these vacations I would be able to attend to gardening a little more, but between some changes of spaces and reconditioning at home, it has been a little complicated, but still I have been able to see how some of my plants inside and outside the house have improved, grown and are going from strength to strength.
On the other hand, you can see the progress of the last cuttings of cretonas which I transplanted today to the gardens, especially because the two plants I was most proud of seem to have been affected by the heavy and constant rains, in addition to the pet that a neighbor (a little dog) that besides urinating there, then kicks so hard with his hind legs that devastates everything, it is simply horrible as after being such a nice and colorful place, now looks so horrendous, it is as if the plant had rotted.
So I have decided to plant new cuttings for this place to revive, on the other hand, the avocado tree is already dropping its last fruits are really huge and sometimes even if they fall on the ground they break, because besides being at the top of the tree, as I mentioned, they are very big and as if there are no complaints, this tree is already bringing new flowers, which guarantees fruits for next year.
As for my indoor plants, I am very happy with the way two of my four jades look, they are full of leaves and I think that, at the latest, next year they will require a change of pot or maybe pruning, as their leaves are so heavy that their branches are starting to bend.
The truth is, I don't have much room for more or larger pots. I wish to place some shelves to have more plants, indoors, but I can't have so many huge pots at home either, it's chaos when it comes to cleaning and a floating shelf doesn't support so much weight, it could end in disaster.
On the other hand, my zamioculcas are beautiful, they have given many new branches this makes me happy, and the one that is submerged in soil I hope as I have already mentioned it will give me surprises surviving, in fact I changed its pot of place to one where it receives more sun, let's remember that this plant is not of extreme irrigation.
So, although basically I did nothing extraordinary or out of the ordinary today, but being able to plant or rather transplant some of the cuttings to the gardens made me feel very good and remember that gardening relaxes me and makes me happy.
Creí que en estas vacaciones podría atender un poco más la jardinería, pero entre algunos cambios de espacios y reacondicionamiento en casa, se me ha complicado un poco, pero igual he podido ver como algunas de mis plantas dentro y fuera de casa han mejorado, crecido y van viento en popa.
Por otro lado, se ven los avances de los últimos esquejes de cretonas los cuales trasplante hoy a los jardines, sobre todo porque las dos plantas de las que estaba más orgullosa parecen haber sido afectadas por las fuertes y constantes lluvias, además de por la mascota que un vecino (un perrito) que además de orinar allí, luego patea tan fuerte con sus patas traseras que arrasa con todo, es simplemente horrible como luego de ser un lugar tan lindo y colorido, ahora luce tan horrendo, es como si la planta se hubiera podrido.
Así que he decidido plantar nuevos esquejes para que este lugar reviva, por otro lado, ya el árbol de aguacate está dejando caer sus últimos frutos son realmente enormes y a veces aunque caen en la tierra se rompen, porque además de estar en lo más alto del árbol, como mencione, son muy grandes y como para que no existan quejas, ya este árbol trae de nuevas flores, lo que garantiza frutos para el próximo año.
En cuanto a mis plantas de interiores, estoy muy feliz por cómo lucen dos de mis cuatro jades están llenos de hojas y creo que, a más tardar, el año que vine requerirán un cambio de maceta o tal vez poda, ya que sus hojas están tan pesadas que sus ramas están comenzando a doblarse.
La verdad, es que no tengo mucho espacio para más macetas o de mayor tamaño. Deseo colocar algunas repisas para tener más plantas, en interiores, pero tampoco puedo tener tantas macetas enormes en casa, es un caos a la hora de limpiar y una repisa flotante no soporta tanto peso, podría terminar en desastre.
Por otra parte, mis zamioculcas están bellas, han dado muchas ramas nuevas esto me hace feliz, y la que está sumergida en tierra espero como ya he mencionado me dé sorpresas sobreviviendo, de hecho cambie su maceta de lugar a uno donde reciba más sol, recordemos que esta planta no es de riego extremo.
Así que, aunque básicamente no hice nada extraordinario o fuera de común hoy, pero el poder sembrar o mejor dicho trasplantar algunos de los esquejes a los jardines me hizo sentir muy bien y recordar el que al realizar labores de jardinera me relaja y hace feliz.
