Pretty long day. Did a bunch of vehicle diagnosing without ripping everything apart and thankfully I did that first. Because that has told me that I didn't explode the rear end differential gears.
However now the blame is getting shifted around and possibly the torque converter blew up. Which just means that it's way more expensive. And definitely not fun to replace that. So we will see what all happens however...
It just might be time to start looking for another vehicle and sell and or trade this away.
Which I'm lucky enough to be able to afford without having to make any excessive financial commitments. Oh yeah I can also afford to get the right vehicle here pretty soon. So we will look around and look and see how it's working.
So we will see what all works out. However in between me getting another vehicle and getting it all papered it's going to be a little bit. So I think in the meanwhile I have my heart set on getting a little scoot scoot motorcycle! Yep! Now the biggest problem is just figuring out exactly which one I really want to pull the trigger on!
I'm kind of tempted to go all the way for the full KLX 300sm. Although there is the less expensive option of the KLX 230 SM supermoto. And there's even a lesser expensive Kawasaki z125 3/4 size bike. That thing gets incredible gas mileage. And then there's also the Honda dual sport. I kind of wouldn't mind a CRF___L again. Really wish I was able to have kept my little CRF250L!
Either way it goes if I get a bike I can afford it. And I'm going to need a little bike to get around back and forth to my appointments. And I'm also going to need a little bike to get back and forth to go shopping for the next vehicle!
So I have definitely thought about it and I'm going to get a little list going but I'm looking specifically for a Toyota 4Runner pre 1994 to simplify the entire repair situation for the next time I have an emergency. I really think that I'm going to look into this and even if I get a beat up and destroyed cheap shell, well my little brother absolutely loves Toyota's and working on them so I absolutely have backup if I needed to get a cheap shell and put an engine or repair something a little more time intensive.
Miles doesn't matter if I'm getting a good deal. And since I was a tow truck driver I might as well start going over and poking around at the different tow yards because I most likely might be able to find what I want that is going to have lean paperwork against it. So I can get something super cheap! It'll just take a little while for my paperwork to get approved.
So I am absolutely super excited and we will hopefully see some really amazing new developments coming about.
However I absolutely do have the option of going and buying something brand new with warranty until I get all the way through the situation and get it resolved.
And there's even some little older bikes out there that are really affordable as well with really low miles! I'm actually looking at getting a really nice Christmas! And that's going to be a big one. So I'm lucky for sure!
I think if I hang in there things will work themselves out just fine!
