Greetings, #womentribe friends. Today I'm joining another of your great initiatives, "A gift for dad", promoted by my friend @chacsld.dcymt. I appreciate the invitation of my dear sister @lileisabel, who always includes me in activities like this.
I am currently at home, resting and have had time to reminisce and think. When I was younger, I used the paper stick technique to make a centerpiece. Another time, I might make one to show you. However, today I will focus on how to make a simple keychain, although for me it will take a little more time.
Below, I'll show you the materials I used and the steps to make this beautiful detail for dad:

-Thick colored thread
-Scissors
-Skewer sticks

-Brush
-Oil paint
-Varnish
-Keychain rings
-A small keychain chain
Saludos, amigas de #womentribe. Hoy me uno a otra de sus geniales iniciativas, "Un regalo para papá", promovida por mi amiga @chacsld.dcymt. Agradezco la invitación de mi querida hermana @lileisabel, qué siempre me incluye en actividades como esta.
Actualmente estoy en casa, de reposo y he tenido tiempo para recordar y pensar. Cuando era más joven, utilicé la técnica de los palillos de papel para hacer un centro de mesa. En otra ocasión, podría hacer uno para mostrarles. Sin embargo, hoy me enfocaré en cómo hacer un llavero sencillo, aunque para mí llevará un poco más de tiempo.
A continuación, les mostraré los materiales que utilicé y los pasos para elaborar este bello detalle para papá:
Materiales:
-Hojas de revista
-Cola blanca
-Hilo grueso de colores
-Tijeras
-Palillos de brocheta
-Lápiz
-Pincel
-Pintura de óleo
-Barniz
-Aros de llavero
-Una cadena pequeña para llavero
The first thing I did was to detach the sheets from the magazine, fold it in three parts and cut them out.
Lo primero que hice fue desprender las hojas de la revista, doblarla en tres parte y recortarlas.
With the help of the toothpick, I roll one of the paper strips and place a small portion of white glue at the end. I take out the toothpick and we will have a paper stick.
Con la ayuda del palillo, enrollo una de las tira de papel y coloco una pequeña porción de cola blanca al llegar al extremo. Saco el palillo y tendremos un palillo de papel.
I repeat this operation until I have enough toothpicks for the piece I am going to make.
Repito está operación hasta tener los palillos suficientes para la pieza que voy a elaborar.
I roll my paper tubes with the help of a pencil, as you can see in the picture.
Paso a enrollar con ayuda de un lápiz mis tubitos de papel, como pueden ver en la fotografía.
Having my paper rings ready, I start to roll them forming a circle, when one roll is finished I glue the other paper with a portion of white glue and continue rolling it will make a circle of 30 cm in diameter, I chose this size so that the keychain would not be too big, but when you are going to try it you can make it the size that best suits you.
Teniendo ya listos mis aros de papel, comienzo a enrollar formando un círculo, cuando se termina un rollito pego a continuación el otro papel con una porción de cola blanca y continúo enrollando hará tener un círculo de 30 cm de diámetro, yo escogí esta medida para que el llavero no quedara muy grande, pero cuando lo vayan a intentar pueden hacerlo del tamaño que mejor les convenga.
I will shape the hat with my hands, slightly sinking the center of the circle until the desired shape is achieved.
Paso a darle forma al sombrero con las manos, hundiendo ligeramente el centro del círculo hasta lograr la forma deseada.
Now I decorate with the thick thread and the white glue, rolling carefully until the hat is completely covered.
Ahora paso a decorar con el hilo grueso y la cola blanca, enrollando cuidadosamente hasta tener cubierto completamente el sombrero.
With oil paint I paint its interior and border, first blue and then black.
Con la pintura de oleo pinto su interior y borde, de azul primeramente y luego de negro.
When the paint is well dry, I continue with the decoration, putting a black cord and varnish to the whole hat that helps to its hardness and waterproofing, because as we all know, a keychain can fall anywhere and my interest is that it is durable.
Cuando está bien seca la pintura, continúo con la decoración, poniéndole un cordón negro y paso a darle barniz a todo el sombrero eso ayuda a su dureza e impermeabilización, porque como todos sabemos, un llavero puede caer en cualquier lugar y mi interés es que sea duradero.

We will continue placing the rings, with the help of a large needle, I open a hole through which I'll place the small ring to which the chain will be attached and then the key ring.
Continuaremos colocando las argollas, con la ayuda de una aguja grande, se abre un agujero por el que pondremos la argolla pequeña a la que irá sujeta la cadena y después el aro de llavero.
