What's up everyone? Hope everyone is well. I am doing great, although the heavy rains of the last two days have kept me indoors. Nowhere to go, I am relaxing at home, watching movies. And in between watching I completed another piece of fan art. This time I made a fan art of Lighting Healer I actually finished this a day ago but had some internet issues, so I'm posting it now.
In this artwork I drew the Lightning Healer as a cute, animated character. Where did the idea come from? Well, I always have a habit of browsing various online art platforms especially DeviantArt, Pinterest, Artstation. So to see this Image , Image there, I looked at some of my raw sketches and drawings. Which is similar look a lot like my arts. That inspired me. After taking inspiration from those pieces, I thought, what can be done with the combination of these? So here it is - a mix of their style and my personal touch.
Since I made the art of combining these, combining them was basically the first Hessel. Especially, it took me a long time to do the girl's victory symbol and double eye gesture. At first I thought the girl would be in a smiling position. But after that a line went under the girl's lips and became the shape of this part of her tongue. Later I saw that it looked pretty good. The girl's face shows some mischievous expression. So I left that. Next, draw clear thick lines on the sketch. Now the art has come in a form.
When it came to colors I am using the signature black and white palette from the original Lighting Healer design. I used black for the inner outfit and white for her jacket, with skin tones where needed. At first, I only added some yellow line in the healer hair, but it didn’t feel glow enough. So, I switched to a gradient blend of yellow, brown, and white, which gave it a glowing effect. This gradient became a recurring element, and I added it into her clothes and accessories, making the character appear more radiant and vibrant. Then I drew a background to match the character. So that the character seems more bright. Added some more effects to it. This is how I finished my new Lighting Healer fanart.
