Here is my first day of Zingtober, I'm really excited and a bit anxious at the same time, I hope I can complete the whole month of the challenge, or at least as much as possible. I love to draw, I like this style a lot, but looking at other posts I think my illustration is quite simple. However, I've been happy doing this style, it's very similar to the retro pop type I did in some illustrations a few months ago, from past projects.
Zingtober's word of the day 1 is: Backpack. Actually, just a backpack wasn't exactly something I wanted to draw, so I decided to illustrate a version of one of my favorite healers, the Ocean Healer wearing a backpack.
The charm of this illustration lies in the amount of detail. Each of the lines and the color contrast between white, black, a touch of gray and some other textures, provide a striking result.
I really liked the result, and I was able to take advantage of the opportunity to try my hand at creating a more futuristic outfit. I imagined a "leatherette" type suit, fitted to the body and at the same time with the Holozing insignia and its respective "Ocean Healer" element.
Let's quickly see Drawing process:
For this illustration, I used my tablet, digitizer pen, and Medibang Paint. The brushes I used were pretty simple, including: Smooth Round Pen, Spray Pen, and Cell Pen. I used the Smooth Round Pen for practically the entire illustration, but in different thicknesses depending on the intensity of the area or zone. The thickness levels I used were 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 12, and 16. Sometimes I needed some lines to be thinner at certain ends, and he helped me a lot with the eraser.
