Hello friends of Hive ♥️ welcome to my blog to show you a new art project I made inspired by some of the characters of the Holozing community, this time it was the turn of the forest healer and the intrepid green raccoon Wrackoo.
In my previous drawing, I totally changed the original design of the ocean healer to one more inclined to the anime, and this one was not the exception since the contest of change of features inspired me. I wanted to keep the characteristic color, but not so much the face, body and clothing design, and that's where I let my imagination run wild.
Based a little on both characters, I thought it was curious to unite them and leave something of each one in the other, as you can see in the clothes of the healer where she wears a hood with ears, as well as a very appropriate dress and set to her nature, on the part of the raccoon I wanted to keep her original design because I really like how it looks, and I think I liked the final result with both together in a tender pose, so once I did that I proceeded to paint, although at the moment it is on cardboard because I do not feel very prepared, I hope to do it in a more professional way on a better material and thus save the collection 😊.
Now I will show you the whole creative process of this painting design hoping you like it.
Materials
- Cardboard square
- Drawing guide of the forest healer and Wrackoo
- Acrylic paints (green, beige, pink, brown, white, black, aquamarine, gold)
- Brushes
The first thing I did before was to draw the design in pencil, then I painted it with crayons to identify and have a better reference of those areas of light and shadow. Once this was done, I proceeded to trace on the cardboard with the help of carbon paper.
As this cardboard square was thicker than the previous one I used, I had to apply a layer of white on the drawing, and once it dried I proceeded to paint Wrackoo first combining green tones to create that nice shadow that the original has, let it dry and continue.
Continuing with the green I wanted to play a bit trying to create a new style with the healer's hair, and after applying several layers with different tones I finished the raccoon with the rest of the colors, as well as giving the last details with light and shadow effects.
Already applied the beige color for the healer's skin, aquamarine green for the dress with brown and golden tones, pink for the lips and white for the eyes, I finished using the black color to outline and give the last and small details. Finally for the background I decided to use a yellow tone with some shadows with gold paint, and we only had to let it dry and then apply my favorite paint, the glitter, I applied this product on the green hair of the healer, some areas of her dress, eyes and mouth, a little on the fur and other parts of the raccoon.
And this is how our finished project would look like...a very nice design inspired by the female "forest healer" accompanied by the intrepid forest raccoon Wrackoo from Holozing...I hope you liked my tutorial showing you the whole creative process so that if you want you can make one yourself too, with love I say goodbye and it will be until next time!💕
