- Hey und Hallo meine liebe Community <3
Today I was once again particularly busy and have equal to several fronts ausgetobt... :D in addition to the new epoxy experiment, I tried today how it is to make candles in a slightly different way...
We have in our family a high consumption of Babybels...who does not know them, these are so small, round balls bezeihungsweise slices of a kind of cheese 😅 These Babybels are always wrapped in wax and I started to collect this wax to make it into candles.... Recycle and so 😅
First, as always, I prepared the water bath and put the Babybel shells in a suitable from. Then I heated the wax pieces until everything was a smooth mass.
I used these candle wicks from Telgoner. In the pack what I have 3 different lengths and sticks in it ...I used the short but for 2, because my mold is too wide and I have made the experience that the edge otherwise does not burn properly :D
The wicks I have attached with an edible stick and have the candle about 2 hours to harden completely before I removed it again
I find the color is incredibly intense ... so strong I am it from other colors not at all but I find it really great that I could give the wax remnants so a new life...by the way...no it does not smell like cheese :D
