These few days i'm doing something, i.e. i repaint the gaming chair that i have. I painted it because I didn't think the color matched the mood of my room so I changed the color.
As i've posted before, that i bought some leather paint and some preparation stuff to fix leather stuff. And this time I will use it for my gaming chair.
At first my gaming chair was blue and black, it really didn't suit my room. Most things in my room are purple or pink, even my desk is white and purple. Therefore I will repaint the blue color to a purple color.
First before I paint it I will use a leather prepare first, this serves to clean the leather from the chair, and to make new paint that will be applied stick to the leather.
Then I'll start painting the chair, first I'll paint the hands. Apply paint thinly but evenly, wait for it to dry and then repeat several times.
Actually it would be better if we use washi tape to cover the parts that I don't want to paint, unfortunately at first I didn't use it but on the other arm of the chair I covered the parts that I didn't want to color using washi tape and after that I continued to paint again.
Then I continued to paint other parts, such as the back and seat. Don't forget to paint the seat cushions too. Actually it is recommended to paint 2 to 3 coats, but because the initial color is a dark color and the color I repainted is a light color then I need to paint up to 4 coats.
To paint all of this takes quite a long time and is quite tiring. Not only coated the leather with 4 coats of paint but also because there were some parts where the paint hit the parts that shouldn't be painted purple instead it got affected, so I'll cover the parts that accidentally got purple by using black paint, so it looks neat.
And if all the parts have been painted and everything is clean then the last step that must be done is to coat the paint with paint finisher, this serves to make the paint last longer. Coat the finisher paint evenly and thoroughly.
I finally finished my gaming chair into a beautiful new look and it suited my room. Although painting it is tiring but I am satisfied with the result, it is very beautiful. After this I will repaint some of my items whose colors are no longer beautiful, so please wait.
