Yes, that's part of a craftsman's job. Maybe that's why many people say it's expensive. What it takes to create something by hand, every detail, sometimes more than skill you have to have ingenuity.
Believe it or not, in order to understand and turn on the light bulb you have to think a lot. Sometimes I sound crazy talking to myself and making several approaches, trial and error many times!
