This weekend we went to a Spiderman themed birthday party and I didn't have any gift bags for boys at home. So, I decided to decorate a plain gift bag that I'd saved from a previous gift. I have a bin of gift bags and used tissue paper that I save because I don't like throwing out tissue paper. Luckily, I had some blue and red tissue paper to go with the gift bag. Since the birthday boy's name starts with a T, I repurposed a cardstock letter T as a name tag from a banner I made for one of Gabby's previous birthday parties. Check out the steps below:
⬆️ A banner I made back in 2022. I saved the letters to use as gift tags if the recipient's name starts with one of those letters.
Materials:
- White paper
- Red cardstock
- Glue
- Pencil
- Black marker
- Plain gift bag
Step 1. Fold white paper in half after drawing eye shape with pencil
Step 2. I drew the outer shape of the eye with pencil. Fill it in with black marker.
Step 3. I placed the eyes on the red cardstock paper to draw a proportionate face shape with pencil. Then, I traced the face shape with black marker and cut it out.
Step 4. I cut the face shape out and drew the spider web pattern in pencil. Then I traced the spider web with black marker.
Step 5. I glued the eyes on with paper-crafting glue.
Step 6. I drew a spider web on the bag in pencil and then traced it in black marker.
Step 7. I glued the Spiderman head onto the bag and tied on the Letter T with ribbon.
