I'm on a diy streak, hahaha, I say this because this would be the second one this week and I don't usually do a lot of these things but it really is something therapeutic, not only the fact of doing an activity and occupying your mind with something else but also getting out of the cycle of saying that you will do this idea that occurred to you and then never materializing.
Well this idea is super simple and it's about a pot to put plants like succulents or cacti. I had this material at home that belongs to the presentation of a bottle of tequila. The peculiarity of this thing is that it is completely open, so I used some slats that I had, I cut them and glued them with a special wood glue but I also put a few nails in it to reinforce it.
Estoy en racha de manualidades, jajaja, lo digo porque esta sería la segunda en la semana y yo no suelo hacer mucho de estás cosas pero realmente es algo terapéutico, no solo el hecho de hacer una actividad y ocupar tu mente en algo más sino también en salir del ciclo de decir que harás esta idea que se te ocurrió y que luego nunca se materialice.
Bueno esta idea es súper sencilla y se trata de una maceta para colocar plantas como suculentas o cactus. Yo tenía este material en casa que pertenece a la presentación de una botella de tequila. La particularidad de esta cosa es que es completamente abierta, así que utilicé unas tablillas que tenía, las corté y las pegué con un pegamento de madera especial pero también le coloqué unos cuantos clavos para reforzar.
With this ready, I set out to sand the entire surface that has letters, then I gave it a light coat of varnish, I also painted some edges in white so it would harmonize with the decor of my apartment, I also had this strip and I said why not? I attached it with hot silicone.
Con esto listo, me propuse lijar toda la superficie que tiene letras, luego le pase una ligera capa de barniz, también pinté unos bordes en color blanco para que tenga armonía con la decoración de mi departamento, también tenía este listón y dije ¿por qué no? Se lo coloqué con silicón caliente.
Now another idea that occurred to me was to place white stones. It is true that in stores they sell special stones but they are expensive. When I was walking outside I took the opportunity to take a few stones, I washed them and painted them white, I put a coat of varnish on them to seal the color and avoid accidents when I go to water the plants.
Ahora otra idea que se me ocurrió fue colocar piedras en color blanco, es cierto que en las tiendas venden unas piedras especiales pero son costosas, yo cuando estuve caminado afuera aproveché de tomar unas cuantas piedras, las lavé y las pinté de blanco, le puse una capa de barniz para sellar el color y evitar accidentes cuando vaya a regar las plantas.
With this ready, all that remains is to start placing the substrate and putting the plants in their place.
Ya con esto listo, solo queda empezar a colocar el sustrato y poner las plantas en su lugar
The end result is really beautiful, it's something very calm and aesthetic. The good thing about all this is that these materials were things that I already had in my house from previous purchases that I decided to give them a second chance.
PS: This would be a pot without drainage so you have to be careful when watering, use little water and always wait for the soil to be dry to water.
El resultado final realmente es hermoso, es algo muy tranquilo y estético. Lo bueno de todo esto es que estos materiales eran cosas que ya tenía en mi casa de compras anteriores que decidí darles una segunda oportunidad.
PD: Esto sería una maceta sin drenaje por lo que hay que ser cuidadosos para regar, usar poca agua y siempre esperar que la tierra esté seca para regar
