Como me apasiona las Artes del Fuego, les voy a mostrar como realice paso a paso este bello vitral, para colocarlo en la pared de mi casa que da a la escalera. Dicho vitral lo realice con la técnica de mosaico y la vitrofusión. La técnica de mosaico significa hacer formas variadas con trozos de vidrio, cerámica, papel etc. Y la técnica de vitrofusión consiste en colocar un vidrio a una determinada temperatura en un horno, con el fin de que al derretirse cree una forma.
En principio abrí un hueco en la pared para que entrará más luz en la escalera, ella está ubicada frente a la puerta de acceso a mi hogar. Y de esta forma al entrar lo primero que se ve es el vitral.
En anteriores post ya he escrito sobre la vitrofusión y otro de creación de dijes, los cuales espero los hayan leído y si no los invito a que lo lean si y me dejaran saber sus opiniones.

As I am passionate about the Arts of Fire, I am going to show you how to make this beautiful stained glass window step by step, to place it on the wall of my house that overlooks the stairs. Said stained glass window is made with the mosaic technique and glass fusion. The mosaic technique means making various shapes with pieces of glass, ceramics, paper etc. And the vitrofusion technique consists of placing a glass at a certain temperature in an oven, so that when it melts it creates a shape.
In principle I opened a hole in the wall so that more light will enter the staircase, it is located in front of the access door to my home. And in this way when entering the first thing you see is the stained glass window.

Without further ado, let's get to work.

Comencé haciendo la plantilla de diseño del espacio donde iba a colocar el vitral con las medidas exactas dejando una holgura de 2 centímetros por cada lado. Como la forma era irregular, tuve que hacerlo por varias partes.
Para el marco escogí un perfil de aluminio tipo L, el cual me sirvió de soporte al vitral. Este lo coloque con ramplús para fijarlo a la pared.
Una vez echo el patrón le coloque números a cada pieza para así mantener el orden del diseño al momento de colocarlo.
I started by making the design template of the space where I was going to place the stained glass with the exact measurements, leaving a gap of 2 centimeters on each side. Since the shape was irregular, I had to do it in several parts.
For the frame I chose an L-type aluminum profile, which served as a support for the stained glass window. This is placed with ramplús to fix it to the wall.
Once the pattern is made, I put numbers on each piece in order to maintain the order of the design when placing it.
Procedí a cortar los vidrios y colocarlos en su lugar correspondiente para hacer el diseño.
I proceeded to cut the glasses and place them in their corresponding place to make the design.
Así que poco a poco fui colocando con pega blanca los recortes de vidrios sobre las bases y esperé que se secaran y lo lleve al horno a un temperatura de 600 grados centígrados para que se fundan los vidrios entre sí.
Debo acotar que este momento es un proceso de incertidumbre porque al enviarlos al horno la pieza toma su forma propia y no sabemos cómo quedarán pero aun así los resultados son maravillosos.
Una vez frio el horno, se retira la pieza ya lista, los vidrios se lavan con jabón para quitarle los restos de la quema y del separador.

I must point out that this moment is a process of uncertainty because when they are sent to the oven, the piece takes its own shape and we do not know how they will turn out, but even so, the results are wonderful.
Once the oven is cold, the ready piece is removed, the glasses are washed with soap to remove the remains of the burning and the separator.
Hacer este vitral me llevo aproximadamente 19 dias de trabajo , ya que el horno es pequeño y solo podía hornear 1 pìeza por quema diaria
There I proceeded to place it again on the design template, each glass in its place.
Making this stained glass window took me approximately 19 days of work, since the oven is small and I could only bake 1 piece per day.
