Hello @hivedye community! What a thrill this is my first post in this community!
I have never celebrated Halloween or autumn, because in my country autumn only happens in some states. But since a while ago I decided everything celebrable, life is for celebrating!
I started looking for inspiration on pinterest and luckily I had orange cardboard, white cardboard, black markers and a black fabric that I will talk about later.
At first I started by drawing simple ghosts and little pumpkins:
materials:.
. Orange and white cardstock or white sheet.
. black marker
. Scissors
. White thread
. School glue
First we painted and cut out. Finally we measure the length of a thread and with a little glue we form a little flag (here I didn't upload pictures of the flag, because I thought of doing something else with my figurines, soon I will be sharing them with you).
- Next to me I had the printed sheet music of the Invincible album by Michael Jackson... I was looking at the mountain of sheets and it occurred to me to wallpaper my wall (another corner of my house conquered 🙏). I simply glued them to the paint with white glue, following a pattern by eye.
It turns out that among the papers on my desk there have been pieces of paper left over with designs from my drawing practices, and I decided to put them together with some black and white designs that I had already been doing to decorate a door (my intention is to make art throughout my house) here I show you details:
This is the result :
Late at night, I decided to use that black fabric that I didn't know what to do with and make Halloween cushions!
Materials :
. Black fabric (preferably cotton, it can be a tablecloth or dye a sheet, some black flannel also comes perfect.
. Thread
. Scissors
. A piece of orange or white fabric (I used an old bathing suit).
. White sheet
. Black marker
. Wadding (or an old cushion/pillow) .
or dye a sheet, some black flannel is also perfect.
Processing.
For the bag-shaped cushion, we simply cut a rectangle, sew on the inside and flip. I used a heavy fabric whose edge was perfect and it was not necessary to sew it. If this is not your case, simply sew on all 4 sides, leave an opening, stuff a little more than halfway up and place a string at the top to give it the appearance of a bag.
Now let's go with the bat cushion: cut the fabric folded in half, as close as possible to this image that I show you (skull on the right side)
Once stuffed, with white thread, run it through the cushion as many times as you like, have fun.
I had this orange bathing suit and used its straps as ties and the fabric plus 2 white paper cutouts painted with marker to make a pair of eyes and tucked them in between the threads. I did not glue or sew them on.
All this photos were taken with my Android Infinix note 10 and edited using picsart.
