El reciclaje la práctica eco-amigable que consiste en someter a un proceso de transformación un desecho o cosa inservible para así aprovecharlo como recurso que nos permita volver a introducirlos en el ciclo de vida sin tener que recurrir al uso de nuevos recursos naturales. A su vez, el reciclaje es una manera verde de gestionar o, directamente, de acabar con buena parte de los desechos humanos.

Si queremos utilizar el lenguaje con propiedad, debemos distinguir entre reciclar y reutilizar. Aunque comúnmente solemos emplear la palabra reciclaje para hablar de reutilizaciones, lo suyo es distinguir entre ambos términos, separando conceptos. Hacerlo es algo sencillo, ya que, como su propio nombre indica, reutilizar hace referencia a las reparaciones de las cosas rotas o relegadas al olvido para poder seguir usándolas de un modo distinto al habitual.
