Some time ago I have seen some videos where they talk about the famous eternal roses, they make arrangements with them, they make them and besides roses other flowers and they are very beautiful, I love crafts, I am not an expert in the area but I usually like to try and more when I see something that I like.
Ya hace un tiempo he visto algunos vídeos donde hablan de las famosas rosas eternas , hacen arreglos con ellas, las realizan y además de rosas otras flores y quedan hermosísima, a mi me encantan las manualidades ,noo soy experta en el área pero generalmente me gusta intentarlo y más cuando veo algo que me gusta.
This time I wanted to make an eternal flower similar to the sunflower 🌻, with satin ribbons, so I set out to buy the materials to make a medium-sized one, to see how it turned out.
Ésta vez quise hacer una flor eterna semejante al girasol 🌻, con cintas de raso, por lo que me dispuse a comprar los materiales para hacer una de tamaño mediano, a ver cómo me quedaba.
The materials I used were:
✓ One meter of yellow ribbon 2 cm wide approximately.
✓ One meter of brown ribbon 2 cm wide approximately.
✓ Yellow foami,one small piece.
✓ Silicone rod.
✓ Yesquero.
✓ Scissors.
Los materiales que usé fueron:
✓ Un metro de cinta amarilla de 2 cm de ancho aproximadamente.
✓ Un metro de cinta marrón de 2 cm de ancho aproximadamente.
✓ Foami amarillo,un trozo pequeño.
✓ Barra de silicón.
✓ Yesquero.
✓ Tijeras.
Procedures:.
First I cut the petals, taking as a mold to cut them a small mirror that I had, I wrapped the ribbon until it was completely rolled up, cut on both sides to remove the pieces, which would be the petals.
Procedimientos:
Primero saque los pétalos, tomando como molde para cortarlos un espejo pequeño que tenía ,envolví la cinta hasta enrollar completamente, corte por ambos lados para sacar las piezas, que serían los pétalos.
I shaped each rectangle into petals by cutting with the scissors and burning the edges with the tinder. The bottom edge I made a small fold to accentuate the petal shape.
Cada rectángulo le di la forma de pétalos cortando con la tijera y quemando los bordes con el Yesquero. El borde inferior hice un pequeño dobles para acentuar más la forma de pétalo.
These rectangles would give me my flower petals, 12 petals approximately 6 cm long.
Estos rectángulos me darían mis pétalos de la flor, salieron 12 pétalos de aproximadamente 6 cm de largo.
Then we took the piece of yellow foami and cut out a circle, which would be the base for gluing the petals.
Luego se tomó el trozo de foami amarillo y se recortó un círculo , el cuál seria la base para pegar los pétalos.
Then we take the brown ribbon, fold it in half and glue, making it less wide and then we make small cuts with the scissors in all the formed ribbon, being careful not to overdo it and cut the ribbon.
Después tomamos la cinta color marrón, la doblamos por la mitad y pegamos , haciéndola menos ancha y luego hacemos pequeños cortes con la tijera en toda la cinta formada, con cuidado de no pasarse y cortar la cinta.
Once the ribbon is obtained with all the small cuts, we roll it up to form a circle that would be the center of our sunflower 🌻. Unwind it a little to make it look more lush and glue it to the base of the foami.
Una vez obtenido la cinta con todo los pequeños cortes ,vamos enrollando hasta formar un círculo que sería el centro de nuestro girasol 🌻. Desordenamos un poco para que se vea más frondoso y pegamos a la base del foami.
Ready we have a beautiful eternal flower, which can be used for hair appliqués, a vase or flower arrangement, with their respective details, that is, placing the leaves and stem. Listo tenemos una bonita flor eterna, que puede ser usada para apliques del cabello, algún florero o arreglo floral, con sus respectivos detalles, es decir colocándole las hojas y el tallo.
